As I've said many times, we're in the age of trolling politics. You don't need to solve a problem or be right, you can just win by pissing off the other side. This led to King Troll himself becoming president. Now take AOC. Regardless of the merits of her ideas, she pisses off conservatives. She's under their skin. That alone will make her more appealing to vote for to some people

You can choose to believe that, but I have never had the impression that Conservatives in general are "pissed" at AOC....speaking for myself I'm way too busy laughing at this mental midget and at what you're calling " the merits of her ideas" to be pissed. She had to have set a record for jokes made about a politician. "Pissed" ?  Uh no .lol...cow farts and the world ends in 12 yrs. LOL.

And if she's known to get "under anyone's skin"  its certainly under the skin of her fellow democrats who had been trying to rein her in . Democrats have become enough of an embarrassment. People like Whoopie Goldturd had sharp words for her...Morning Joe feared that AOC running around yapping would assure the re-election of Trump.

Yeah we may be in the age of trolling politics, but to claim that the main objective in politics is to piss off the other side is ludicrous and a cop out.  Trolling is only a fringe element of todays political climate.

If you want to make that claim then speak for yourself and democrats. Ah yes of course, King and Queen troll...Nancy and  Schurmer...no good reason whatsoever to deny Trump funding for the wall other than to piss him off. There ya go, fine example.

But it clearly sounds more like you are annoyed rather than laughing. "Enough is enough" of ridiculing this embarrassment that happens to be on your side. C'mon be honest!

It's never enough with this gem.LOL.

And I'd bet you never laughed at any one of them.

Image result for oac is an idiot meme

She's definitely a great distraction...

It is 100% trolling politics. Pissing the other side off is a win. Both sides do it. The idea really picked up with Trump, obviously.

Pissing them off by being controversial is the goal, not making them laugh by being dumb. The thing AOC says are funny because she’s an idiot. They aren’t controversial, they are just plain dumb (and hilarious). Perhaps her plan is to get re-elected based on her entertainment/ comedic value?

I've chuckled at a few, if that counts....but they're not really done well tbh. From a purely co.edic standpoint. She's kind of a rich source of comedy, ud think these memes would he done better.

But in any case, dude....I've made multipke threads stating WHY I cant stand her. She's a complete left wing ideologue with no rational ideas for how to.get from point A to B. She's not always wrong in what perceives are problems, it's just her ideas how to.fix them are complete nonsense.

She's the living embodiment of the pendulum swing I've been complain about for decades. So pls, stfu now about me having any affinity for her.

actually she's just kind of on the lunatic left edge of almost every social issue. You seem to be on the left of most of them though to give you the benefit of the doubt, not as Looney. If the vote was between her and someone to the right of those issues how do you vote?

Have I ever claimed I wasn't "left of center"? On most social issues I am a liberal. As for who I'll vote for, I have no idea yet. It wont be trump tgsts all I know.

Yes I believe you have said you tend to be liberal.  I'm not attacking you for that just asking if you would vote your conscience or just to piss off somebody else? I guess throwing the vote away on the libertarian Green Party or Mickey Mouse or something is always an option.

I'll be honest, the "Indy" Bernie Sanders I'd vote for. He was a pro gun moderate liberal at one point. Kind of 2000 McCain like in terms of not being held down by the party extremists he's running for. McCain caved to the far right as I'm sure Bernie will have to cave to the new aoc wing of the dem party.

Potus Bernie with a small rep majority in the house and Senate is my preference. Bernie needs mod Republicans to reel him back on certain things. I wouldnt want blank check Bernie as potus is what I'm suggesting. But I think of all the dems, Bernie can work with other reasonable Republicans.

Now if someone like Kasich decides to challenge trump, than I'm registering as a Republican and i will vote for kasich in the gen election too. I know u guys cant stand him cause he doesnt insult handicapped people and hasn't accumulated wealth as the real estate wing of the mafia. But, I can look past those glaring deficiencies...

Sigh, no they wont. That being said I dont necessarily want wealthy people's taxes going 70% or higher like that ping or chang or whatever was talking about.

Honest to god I get miffed at the notion of taking 50% of what ANY man makes. 50% is the absolute highest tax I would be ok with and that's "just barely" comfortable. And people who prove they're reinvesting "somehow" in the u.s through buying American products or hiring Americans and paying them a living wage....that % oughta start dropping through the floor.

I will agree on principle with reps that our govt has gotten too big and takes in too much money. The prob is what it does take in, under Republican run govt, is drastically skewed toward benefitting the military ind complex and the oligarchs entrenched in our market.

The reps have always given their base nice cool soothing stories abliyt pro small business this and that. But the reality is the deck is always stacked against small business because they cant buy politicians. The big boys can and they keep themselves at the top. In the meantime the banks LOVE small biz taking out loan after loan trying to compete against the stacked deck.

Cleve just a comment on a Bernie Sanders presidency and a slight Republican majority in the House and Senate (and that did seem to work with Clinton, even though I don't think Bill was a left-wing idealog), that probably won't happen because traditionally, like losing seats in the midterms, the presidential election usually adds seats to the party that wins and the balance of power is pretty close as it is. Especially if Bernie won that would indicate a big shift to the left and would probably usher in power across the board. I'm not sure the traditional Democrats would love him any more than the traditional Republicans love President Trump however. I wonder how the Press will react, I'd be surprised if they carried his water like they did for Obama since they are probably still pissed off at him for what they see is the straw that broke Hillary's candidacys back.

And while he may have had a moderate position on gun control at one time it sure seems like he and Hillary fought to get on the left of each other during the primary.

They need to know about ebay. Sweep up a ton for nothing and sell it on ebay as collectors items. Worth a lot more that way.
