Christian Club wins religious freedom case against the University of Iowa!

The bible could not be any clearer that homosexuality is a sinful behavior. There are many Christians who believe the bible and it's teachings and cannot in good conscience condone homosexuality when it is specifically called out as sin in the bible. We live in a free society and there are some Christian churches/groups who accept homosexuality and if one is gay they should seek these type churches out instead of going to bible believing churches/groups and trying to force acceptance.

Couldn't be clearer on divorce, eating shellfish and bacon, or praying in public, but you hypocrites just ignored those.

“The university wanted a license to discriminate"

that's literally what a lot of religious groups want.... "I'm allowed to discriminate against gays, it's my religion".... Smh

It is not discrimination when a church organization has biblical beliefs they adhere to and someone comes along and demands they change their belief system (which goes against clear bible teachings) to accommodate them. It doesn't work that way. All churches have their doctrines and belief systems and if you want to be a part of that church they are not under any obligation to accommodate your personal views.

It is still discrimination.

discrimination - the unjust or prejudicial treatment of different categories of people or things, especially on the grounds of race, age, or sex.

yet skin color is of no moral consequence - it's just skin color.

Being openly gay is a behavior. Shoving your gay behavior in the face

of morality is just a political bitchfest with a hoped for lawsuit for $$$$$$$$$$.

Like the gays who were openly demanding a gay fake marriage cake from Christian

bakers.

Did they go to a Muslim bakery?

Nope.

Reason? Christianity is pretty much a common thread throughout Real America generally. OF course non-Christians

are part of Real America, but radical leftists know that fighting Christianity's influence and winning would be a major

battle won.

Soft civil war by the left - wealth/power/free ride/vindication of their hate is at stake for them.

sick stuff - so much like the nazis pre-WWII, and any communist/socialist movement.

You nailed it right there Cal. It is not like skin color or something that cannot be helped. It is a choice, a decision one makes that flies against biblical teachings.

They're both genetic

We could go into all the shit the Bible says but you'll either say it doesn't count or just interpret another way.

You've already said you put your religious beliefs abkvd critical thinking so I know this is going no where.

People use their religion as protection to discriminate against people they don't like. It's shitty. This is no different.

I'm now going to do my best to stay out of here for a bit. Maybe our new friend will go back and forth with the priest and the idiot

I will say this, the university apparently let other non religious groups freely discriminate and pick/choose their leadership. U cant have that double standard. And frankly...any collegiate group should be able to pick and choose their membership. Imagine an asian group being forced to accept white people into their group.....doesnt make sense.

Now if this religious group promoted discrimination against gays or lesbians outside of their immediate group, then gone...buh bye.Thats a different story then.

I think you have it right except I would not call it discrimination that university groups pick and choose their own leadership. In this case the group did not deny the gay student membership (as he apparently was a member) but told him because he rejected views the group believed he could not hold a leadership role in the group.  Glad to see the court rule as they did.

I agree with u, it isnt discrimination in this case even slightly. He was even allowed in the group they just didnt let him become a leader......im hinestly flummoxed at what the fuss is. It would be like an lbgt group being punished for not letting a person become their leader who held beleifs tgat they were sinful demon spawn....that would bever happen and the lbgt community would collectively shit themselves in unison all over the country if that happened.

Something tells me tho im missing part of the story....as per usual. It feels like another facebook flamebait to get errybody riled up and clicking around fb like mad.....which us what drives fb's ad revenue. We're all being played hard imo

Well,  the Federal court disagrees homo's.  Go make a fag club somewhere.

The gay people I know are all quite well off.    I would be willing to take some financial advice from the queers.

Well good thing we have the church to protect us from all of the sexual deviancy of those heathen queers...

oh....wait...

Houston ChronicleAbuse of Faith: 20 years, 700 victims; Southern Baptist sexual abuse spreads as leaders resist reforms

Evangelicals still hold the moral high ground, though. At least their male pastors are diddling little girls for the most part, unlike those sexually deviant queer Catholic priests...

Jesus Steve... How many times do we have to go over the difference on here?

Every time that's brought up like some kind of "gotcha"... and it never is.

Nah, he is just a bigot. Gay men makes him feel funny in his pants, so he has to lash out.

No he's not a bigot. He just thinks it is some kind of "gotcha" because he doesn't grasp the differences. He really doesn't care one way or another, he just thinks he can hop in an "win" a "debate" when this genetics argument is made. This comes up all of the time, and they never seem to understand.

Now if Cal says it he might just be prejudiced and an idiot

Where OBF would be willfully  ignorant or religiously brainwashed

DH would just be trolling, with some level of "eww, gays are weird" in there.

Good thing I don’t subscribe

I love me some crab meat salad with bacon. Or lobster bisque with bacon
