Yes I know fansite is clickbait but you think there's much chance of this coming to pass? Would seem to me Corbett would have made a little more noise if he was ready to take over for either of the starters.

Steve, I understand what you're saying, but I have so much faith in Dorsey & Co regarding talent & personnel that I am taking a "wait & see" approach for the most part. It's nice finally having a Front Office we CAN believe in. Less "head scratching" for sure!

Rule #1. Anything MKC speculates after week 17... "Ignore" ..the last thing Dorsey going to worry about is making his OL any worse with Franchise at QB in stable.. Zeitler is going no-where...

After the 2017 season and the rafting of Corbett there was a chance that the article had some merit, but hard to see after the season Zeitler just posted.

That said...

Corbett struggles at LG in preseason were in part due to him adjusting to the NFL and in part due to playing next to an OG struggling to move to OT. We did not see Austin at his best. Should be more interesting come our 2019 TC.

When I seen the post title I thought the O Line was going on a 58 date US concert trek as the Hue Jackson 5

So?  Who is who?   Marlon, Tito, Jermaine, Jackie....and of course, Michael.

Nah I just figured he knows a lot about the offensive line.

I hope so. That's a pretty high draft pick for a swing-and-a-miss on an O lineman.

Our OL was not terrific...but it was our tackles that were of concern, and still are.  I don't see why we should tinker with the interior and possibly make 'it' a concern also.  -  You would have to be pretty darned sure that Corbett was gonna be GOOD.

Can't get much better than this

We're trying to establish a good team, not go top-o-the-draft surfing again.  Pure clickbait to presume he would be positioned to start.. he's there IMHO as injury shield.  Besides, we have a pretty big OT need - don't go creating additional holes whimsically.

Took a look at our transactions and saw where we signed Brad Seaton (OT). Kid is literally a monster at 6'9 and 320+. Dominated at Villnova, but needed to get stronger and devel tech at next level...

... but if we developed Robinson then Brad's got a chance.

You have to consider the era in which we live....it's all about talking points.  As the beat reporter her job is to broad brush the topics.  She does a good job at that.

If MKC is the only source of info on the Browns , then this a sad mother fucking town for sports coverage.... Her and Tony G have been a huge black eye on Cleveland sports reporting.... I miss guys like Bob August, Hal Lebowitz.. I miss reporters like Herb Kamm , Joe Menzer and Mike Royko who brought class and intelligence to reporting.... MKC and Tony are pure hacks.. And offer 0 credibility to anything....

I miss reporters like that as well, but I have news for you, they don't exist anymore.  In this computer, message board era, reporting is a thing of the past.

Today reporting is nothing but 'cute' little sound bites.. It has sunk to the lowest common denominator

I agree, but since it is that way nearly everywhere, our reporters are no better or worse that what you would get elsewhere other than different names.

It is what it is.

Also, in the old days, reporters got the scoop, and they also protected players.  Nobody was reporting that Mickey mantle was pretty much a drunk and going out every night past curfew.    I am sure the reporters knew that, but it just wasn't reported, so they got tighter with players.  Hell, they were probably out drinking with them.

I always liked Chuck Heaton when I lived up there.  He was another quality reporter to add to the ones you mentioned.
