Team of the Decade 2010s, after 2018

Here is my calculation of the Team of the Decade for the 2010s, now that the 2018 season has concluded.  There  is only one year left in this decade

Note on Methodology:   Scores for the Team of the Decade are alloted on a point system.  The team that wins the Super Bowl is awarded 10 points.  The team that loses the Super Bowl is awarded 6 points.  The two Conference title game losers are awarded 3 points.  Any other team that makes the playoffs is given one point.  The points are then accumulated for the entire decade.  In this case, all points are for all years from 2010 through 2018.  So, we are 9/10ths through the 2010s. As noted the scores you see here are the accumulated points over the past 9 years playoff performances.  So, the teams of the NFL, so far in order are:

 New England Patriots    52 points

 Seattle Seahawks  21 pts

 Green Bay Packers 20 pts.

Denver Broncos  19 pts

Baltimore Ravens 16 pts

Pittsburgh Steelers 13 pts.

Philadelphia Eagle  13 pts

Atlanta Falcons  12 pts

San Francisco 49ers 12 pts.

NY Giants  11 pts

Carolina Panthers  9 points

Kansas City Chiefs  8 points

Indianapolis Colts  7 pts.

New Orleans Saints  7 points

Los Angeles Rams  7 points

Cincinnati Bengals 5 pts

Minnesota Vikings 5 pts.

Houston Texans 5 pts

Arizona Cardinals 4 pts

Chicago Bears  4 pts

NY Jets 3 pts.

Detroit Lions 3 pts

Jacksonville Jaguars 3 pts.

Dallas Cowboys  3 pts.

Washington Redskins 2 pts

LA Chargers 2 pts.

Tennessee Titans 1 pt.

Oakland Raiders 1 pt

Miami Dolphins 1 pt

Buffalo Bills 1 pt.

Tampa Bay Bucs  -0- pts.

Cleveland Browns -0- pts.

Note:   The most accumulated points in a decade were by the 1950s  Cleveland Browns with 57 points.

The Patriots right now have 52 points.   In order to become the all time point leader for a single decade, in the final year of this decade, 2019, the Patriots must at least make it to the Super Bowl, and win or lose, they would become the all time points leader in this category.

Also.....FYI,   the Patriots are the ONLY team to have made the playoffs this entire decade and ONLY in the very first year:  2010, did they fail to make it at least to the Conf. title game. They have accumulated points as follows:   10 pts 3 times as SB winner,  6 pts. twice as SB loser,  3 pts. 3 times as conf. title game loser.   And 1 point  1 time.

Math teachers do. So your decade starts with a one and ends with a nine.  Do you bill the same way?

Yes....if I put in -0- time into something I have a -0- bill.

2020 is not part of the decade of the 20teens.

Besides, what makes you think that math and time are measured the same way.....they are not.
