yeah Im sure Elway is open to trading him 🙄

we would prob have to give up this year and next years #1 while also taking on his contract..which is, lemme see here..

Current Contract

Year Age Base Salary (Guaranteed) Bonuses Cap
Number
Cap %
Dead Money & Cap Savings
Cut (pre-June 1)Cut (post-June 1)Trade (pre-June 1)Trade (post-June 1)RestructureExtension

Total   $72,500,000 $33,800,000 $6,000,000 $2,000,000 $0 $114,500,000
2016 27 $2,000,000 $8,000,000 $3,400,000 $6,000,000 $0 $0 $11,500,000 7.4%
2017 28 $16,500,000 $16,500,000 $3,400,000 $0 $0 $0 $20,000,000 12.0%
2018 29 $2,000,000 $2,000,000 $7,625,000 $0 $500,000 $0 $10,125,000 5.7%
2019 30 $17,000,000 $7,625,000 $0 $500,000 $0 $25,125,000 13.2%
$19,375,000
$5,750,000
2020 31 $17,500,000 $7,625,000 $0 $500,000 $0 $25,625,000 12.8%
$11,750,000
$13,875,000
2021 32 $17,500,000 $4,125,000 $0 $500,000 $0 $22,125,000 --
$4,125,000
$18,000,000

And that's why Elway is "open" to trading him. He's gonna be 30 next year. Plus he's a 34 OLB'er, no fit. We can have 2 maybe even 3 FA's that fill his roll and other more pressing roles, for that money.

You must have missed his time in the league before Wade Philips.

I'm sorry but Baker and Barkley would have been titties doggy. Annnnd we could have gotten Chubb right where we got him anyways ;)

Y'all realize some players are friends with players of other teams, eight? That celebrating the end of the season is kinda normal? And that, while a 'cleveland is great' got thrown out, none of them has any sway on Dorsey and co.?

Sorry to rain on the parade...🤷

If there going to give away a first round pick you go after Antonio brown. As far as free agents go I would go after trey flowers and earl Thomas

Fortunately we're not giving away a first round pick, and certainly not for Antonio Brown.

There isn't a chance in hell that the Steelers would trade Brown to a AFC North rival, especially the team with the best QB.

Maybe so, but he's "clearly" a 34 olb'er now. We already have a situational 34 rusher. You dont pay a man that kibd of money to do spot rushing. Miller would have to be integrated into the base defense and im sorry, im not switching him to myles spot. We need to cater to myles skillset, not a 30 yr old who while still good...is not the Browns future.

Why would we take that contract for a 30 yr old when those are the #'s Flowers is likely to command? Thats the only guy im willing to even think about paying that kind of money for.

I'm not arguing in favor of Miller,  I don't think it's a fit for reasons i was hoping you wouod mention - we have a promising Will edge rusher in Avery that provides great cost/performance value.

Just relating that Miller,  despite his current role,  is more than capable of finding an impact spot in our current defense...  At the expense of a promising rookie snap count however.

They say this upcoming draft is loaded with defensive talent. Von Miller is getting old & Beckham is a girl in disguise.

Stick to the draft: LT, WR, DL, CB

I believe in Dorsey. He’s respected & coveted around the league & he’s building it for the long haul.
