I think even if this is able to be proven and right now that is a big IF with the witness being a convicted lying attorney. But if there is other evidence that proves Trump directed Cohen to lie to congress than I think how big of deal the lie actually was comes into play. We went through this with Clinton being impeached over lying to the grand jury and he was dead to rights guilty of a felony of lying to the grand jury. The lie however was about an extra marital affair and although the republicans were ready to impeach Clinton the dems and I would say even most of the country was not. If Trump was instructing Cohen to lie simply to keep something embarrassing from coming out than the dems may try to impeach him over it but it will fail like it did with Clinton.
