Levin points out that if any president lawfully acts on this statute of the powers they have under a national emergency that the congress can still over rule the president with a simple majority in the House and the Senate as well as it being able to be challenged in Federal Court.

Trump blamed Obama for the last shutdown. Likewise, this one is on Trump. The guy made a campaign promise that was pie in the sky and people bought it. Mexico isn't paying for the wall. The amount of property that will have to be stolen via eminent domain will be massive.

For the record they should shut it down more often, especially in budgetary matters. No reason to have budgetary laws with hard caps if you're not ever going to use them. Plus how much would you care if he didn't accept responsibility for the shutdown? The lefties are going to blame him anyway, right? And the guys on the right won't care, at least not much. Most of them are on the side of border security.

How does Mark Levin get his own thread. What a right wing radio host is blaming the demo for the shutdown? Holy shit stop the presses, breaking news "Water is wet."

Levin is talking about the hypocrisy of the left many of whom like Obama, Hillary Clinton and Schumer who all  (not that long ago) were saying the same radical things that Trump is saying about the need for border security.

What a right wing radio host the shit talking demos? You don't say. Next thing you know Rush Limbaugh will ignore his own party hypocrisy and start saying all demos are socialists.  Wait let me post an article about how GOP use to outraged when leaders lied.

Look at the actual videos of what the dems have been saying for the last 25 years about the need for border security  (which speaks for itself) and then make a common sense judgment they are being hypocrites today.

That's pretty easy. The people who the demo represent changed their minds about the wall. So their representatives changed their position. That is how Representative Democracies are supposed to work. Maybe you could explain why Trump is ignoring the 64% who are opposed to shutting down the government for the wall?

American voters oppose building a wall on the Mexican border 54 - 43 percent and say 54 - 44 percent the wall is not necessary to improve border security, according to a Quinnipiac University National Poll released today.

This is the highest level of support for the wall since the independent Quinnipiac (KWIN- uh-pe-ack) University National Poll first asked the question in November 2016.

Opposition to the wall is 57 - 40 percent among women, 90 - 8 percent among Democrats. Republicans support the wall 86 - 14 percent. Independent voters are divided as 45 percent support the wall, with 51 percent opposed. Men also are divided as 47 percent support the wall, with 51 percent opposed. White voters are divided 49 - 50 percent. Opposition is 78 - 16 percent among black voters and 68 - 27 percent among Hispanic voters.

By a wider 62 - 34 percent, American voters oppose shutting down the government because of funding differences over the wall. Republicans support shutting down the government over the wall 59 - 33 percent, the only listed party, gender, education, age or racial group supporting a shutdown.

Polls are highly inaccurate nowadays due to cell phone usage.

And not one time did this MF mention the lack of cowbell in modern  rock music.   Like... How am I supposed to look at my President if he won't address that big issue?!?!

Maybe they need some more cowbell in rap music and/or country music too...

You keep on living in your safe place. "but but but the polls aren't accurate..." 🤣

It was a good year for polls. This time, they got the basic story of the election right: a Democratic House and a Republican Senate. And on average, the final polls were closer to the results than any election in a decade. Best of all, the polls were relatively unbiased, meaning that one party didn’t systematically overperform or underperform its final poll results.

NEW YORK (Reuters) - With hours to go before Americans vote, Democrat Hillary Clinton has about a 90 percent chance of defeating Republican Donald Trump in the race for the White House, according to the final Reuters/Ipsos States of the Nation project.

Trump won even though most polls predicted he wouldn't. Now every poll that says something I disagree with us invalid because Trump.

Trump's election had the hidden consequence of being a big blow to the publics understanding and acceptance of math and statistics
