Baker Mayfield vs the Curse of Mile High Stadium

I didn't come up with it. But being retired, I was watching "Good Morning Football" and they brought up an amazing point.

They read a whole bunch of famous qb's who lost and threw ints in their first game at Mile High Stadium.

Montana, rothlicksbooger, Rodgers, Brady, Favre, Jim Kelly, Brees.... It's amazing.

Tom Brady....threw four ints. I think it was Rodgers that threw for only 70 some yards.

They said that was what Baker Mayfield is up against. Apparently, the thinner air in Denver is different when throwing the passes, eh?

So, the question is, is Baker Mayfield such a special talent, he can defeat the Curse and adapt to the thinner air, etc, at Mile High?

I believe he is.

So they didn't mention Mayhomes coming from behind to win this past Oct? Maybe the curse is already broken.

Baker Mayfield has never played in the state of Colorado..Oddly enough though, Baker in January signed with his NFL Agents Jack & Tom Mills. Capital Sports Advisors. A Boulder,Colorado based company..were not sorry & fuk John Elway.. from last Jan.   https://predominantlyorange.com/2018/01/17/baker-mayfield-denver-broncos-continue-strong-connection/

I have that same bad feeling I had before the Houston game.  A strong defensive team scares me.  Denver's offense isn't as good as Houston's but with a lot of our young players being new to the rarefied air of Mile High...and the defensive front they have.......I think our D is going to have to win this game for us.  And THAT'S hoping for a lot from the 31st ranked D in yards allowed...and without Ward again.  And speaking of Ward, that's a position that we'll need to address in the offseason.  He's becoming a concussion magnet and we don't seem to have a lot of quality depth at corner.

The one thing that gives me confidence that we might win is the notion of a curse.  With Baker, the team has ended negative streaks and such.  We won A GAME!  something new.  We won 2 games in a row!  multiple years since.  We won a road game!   what, 23 or 24 road games in a row?     (and there's no such thing as curses.  they're just swear words.)   Go Browns!

Assuming Mahomes and Watson are Pro Bowlers this year ... We have faced 10 straight Pro Bowl QBs: Carr, Flacco, Rivers, Winston (well), Ben, Mahomes, Ryan, Dalton, Watson, Cam ... and beaten three of the last four ... so we can handle Case Keenum.

Weird to see the Browns get the "edge" checkmark at QB in any matchup.

I hear you, but IF the Browns survive the 1st quarter, I think they'll be ok.

Denver's been a house of horrors for the Browns. Maybe these young guys, and a determined Coach Williams blaze a new trail and kick the horse teeth in.

OK here is what Baker has to face that is just a little different from Houston. In the chart below on sacks for 2018 note that JJ Watt (12.5) and J. Clowney (7.0) have a total of 19.5 sacks together for the year so far. Denver has Miller (13.5) and B.Chubb (12.0) with a total of 25.5 together. Now I realize some game time has been missed @ Houston, but Chubb was not seeing a lot of playing time until more recent games. So that counterbalances the injury situation in Houston. Both of our OTs will have their hands full, but especially the RT with Miller having the most superior combination of speed and moves in the NFL. Donald at LA has more power obviously in his DT NFL sack leading position. BTW if you go to page 2 by using the arrow lower down where it says 1 of 38, you will find our second best sacker in DT Ogunjobi with 4.5. Page 3 & 4 shows Avery with 3.5 and Ogbah with 3.0. Denver adds Barrett at 3.0

CALSNOTS  ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !  Where the hell ya been man? Merry Christmas if I don't get to talk to you.

It won't be tough for the Browns. The Browns offense will have the Denver D gasping in the thin air by the 4th Quarter. This isn't Kosar and Chokenhiemer, and it isn't Elway. The Browns have the superior QB. People need to begin realizing this. Baker will beat it into the media, into our opponents and any doubters. The Browns, Baker Mayfield is NOT going to lose to Horse Teeth tomorrow.

It just is NOT going to happen. All that bullshit about what happened the last three decades? What does that have to do with anything? At what point does what happened yesterday become the forebearer about the future? I mean, if the Broncos didn't lose to us in 1 decade does that mean we will never beat them again? Or is it 2 decades?

How do you know that not losing to a team in three decades is the Omen for YOU never beating them again?

Hey Hoorta, I have to say this............ Fuck Denver, Fuck thin Air, Fuck Coors Beer,  Fuck Elway, Fuck The Broncos and Fuck anyone who thinks the Browns won't win tomorrow. Can't give a score until Zomblow does his weekly thing, but this is going to be a massacre...................... We may pummel these homosexuals so badly that Mr. Ed may have to throw in the white towel of surrender in the second half.

FIVE sacks for Garrett. THin air? Yeah, he will cut through it at light speed. Brace yourself Denver homos, the train is coming.

It becomes a House of broken bones for Elway. No more Denver bullshit.

Absurd means ridiculous

Very enlightening but doesn't tell anyone why you think it is absurd or ridiculous. You are usually not at such a loss of words for more detail that counters something you disagree with.

Time to turn things around in denture. We had bad luck there in the past so that’s over. Baker gonna have them horsey asses running gasser like they’ve never run. Ole Hay gonna cough and lose his phony horse teeth watching his ponies poop out. Our Browns on national TV will beat down that team like never before. 48-2

I know it's random, but I came across this video during the draft. Mel Kiper specifically said he didn't like the pick, which is pretty much all you need to know. Lmao. That chip on Baker's shoulder is large, but it seems to fit in with our team and our fanbase. Even the other guy, Todd McShay, said he had Josh Allen and Baker Mayfield as the bottom 2 of the 4 QBs. GTFOH.

But regarding Coors Beer. I'm of the opinion something changed when they went national. Circa 1978 coming back from a climbing trip in the Wind Rivers, stopped at a drive through in Riverton, Wyoming. Guy asks "what do you want?" "Coors" "How much?" "We'll tell you when to stop." Car was totally loaded down. Back in the 70s I could pick out Coors in a blind lineup of six different beers, won a fair amount of money doing so. Can't do that anymore, I'd be hard pressed to tell the difference between Coors and Bud- but not Miller. Gawd, I can't stand that crap- ABM Anything But Miller. It's possible my sense of smell is degrading along with the rest of my body.  :)

PS- when I'm not drinking wine (the guys winos I'll be watching the game with at at the Racquet Club tonight are getting a nice Christmas taste of something special- a 1982 Chateau Pavie out of my cellar) & we do a victory port when we win. My preferred beers are Great Lakes Dortmunder, and the seasonal Oktoberfest, Blackout & Oatmeal stouts. Just no to their Christmas Ale. I'm a beer purist- don't want any of that added cinnamon or other crap in my beer.

Absurd means  preposturous.

And hey...this just shows what a versatile individual I am.  Sometimes I am overly verbose .Sometimes I am smack dab right on with succinct simplicity; and sometimes I am a man of mystery....purposely obfuscatory.

Great Lakes Christmas Ale is ridiculously overrated. Tastes like someone blended a poinsettia in it. Gross shit, only good thing it has going for it is that it will get you hammered quickly, if that's your thing.

I hope you had a great night. We were at the Casino tonight for a Christmas party gift giveaway. Cathy is a 7-Star player with Caesars so while she was getting free crap I was at the sports bar in the Horshoe Casino.. Ghoolie was killer tonight. There must have been a dozen Bronco fans, and I was RELENTLESS............. MAN, I like the Ghoolie life when I get to make fun of the assholes we are beating.

Think about it Larry, we STILL make too many mistakes, but we win. Imagine a Williams, Kitchen offseason and another Dorsey Draft? We aren't just going to have a winner, man, the Browns will be the new model of why to build a dynasty. Browns in the Super Bowl? Not so much of a stretch now, is it? We are going to win the division. Ben the rapsit is done, and we own cincy and Ratshit.
