Ginsberg looks like the living dead already and it would be at least interesting to see what kind of garbage you guys threw at the next nominee. It would actually be funny if she fell over tomorrow and we could get another decent Justice before January. I admit, I was wrong on this (will have other comments elsewhere that most folk won't care about). Picked up Senate seats, but lost the House. The Senate controls Presidential appointments (Cabinet etc.) and approval of Supreme Court Justices and other Judicial appointments. Nothing happened to slow down the Supreme Court replacements last night, and POTUS may finally get all the other appointments being held up approved now. Very strange night. Smarter democrats are saying the dems in the House should legislate instead of investigate but I doubt if they listen and that will play into Trump's hands in 2020. Little disappointed in the results yesterday but looking at a glass half full historically speaking. In 1994 under Bill Clinton the dems lost 54 House seats and 8 Senate seats. In 2010 under Obama the dems lost 63 House seats and 6 Senate seats. Looks like the republicans are going to lose about 34 House seats and gain 3-5 Senate seats. Thanks to Harry Reid changing the Senate rules on judges confirmation to a simple majority the republicans should get many more conservative judges on the federal court and IF someone like Ginsburg would retire another Supreme Court justice. Did Bill Clinton have a Democrat house and Senate? Remember Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton, Barack Obama and George W bush suffered a reversal in the houses. Trumps was less than any of them.
