Inside linebacker depth/ special teams.

The Cleveland Browns have signed LB Ray-Ray Armstrong. To make room on the roster, the team waived LB Xavier Woodson-Luster.

Armstrong is 6-3, 220 pounds and in his sixth NFL season out of the University of Miami. Originally signed by the St. Louis Rams as an undrafted free agent in 2013, Armstrong has started 12 of his 69 career games with the Rams, Oakland Raiders, San Francisco 49ers and the New York Giants. He has registered 120 career tackles, five pass breakups, three forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, three interceptions, two sacks and 29 special teams tackles. This season, he started one of six games for the Giants and totaled 18 tackles on defense and two on special teams, before being waived on Oct. 23. Armstrong is a native of Sanford, Fla. He will wear No 52.

Woodson-Luster was elevated to the Browns’ active roster from the practice squad on Oct. 16 and appeared in last week’s game at Tampa Bay, contributing on special teams.

Ray Ray is not a bad player. Really good depth signing. At least i hope that is all it is. Apparently we've had several teams calling about Jamie Collins. We're not actively shopping him and i get you have to listen because the offer might blow you away but i fear what blows us (the fans) away is far more than what blows john dorsey away.

Collins has a LOT of value here. Veteran leader, Super Bowl experience, great player, etc.

I can see a trade for a 3rd or maybe 4th rounder IF we lose to the Steelers.

Ray Ray is an undersized LB. Four teams in 6 seasons. His career year included a stint with SF where he had 5 starts.

Seems like more of a ST guy to me.
