Mr. T
Lone Wolf Terrorists Elusive Targets For Police Published on 06-13-2009 Source: AP An elderly man enters a crowded museum carrying a rifle and begins shooting. A young man in Arkansas pulls the trigger outside a military recruiting office. Another man opens fire in a Kansas church. Three chilling, unconnected slayings in less than two weeks. One gunman was a white supremacist, one a militant Muslim, one a fervent foe of abortion. Each suspect had a history that suggested trouble. Each apparently was driven to act by beliefs considered by some as extreme. Each shooter fits the description of a "lone wolf" terrorist, a killer whose attack, authorities say, is harder to head off than if planned by a trained terrorist network. "It could be anyone. It could be the guy next door, living in the basement of his mother's place, on the Internet just building himself up with hate, building himself up to a boiling point and finally using what he's learned," said John Perren, head of the counterterrorism branch at the FBI's Washington field office. Perren described the difficulty of hunting a lone wolf suspect in an interview with The Associated Press just two days before white supremacist James von Brunn allegedly shot and killed a guard at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum. "The lone wolf is what concerns the Washington field office, what concerns the FBI the most," he said. click here for the rest of the Lone Wolf Article ---- It is like a black cloud gathering on the horizon. calfoxwc
I read a book eh... centuries ago.. GGG called "The True Believer". It was about the lack of self-actualization in a fringe of people, who have problems, and they gravitate to a cause, and they become identified, they see themselves, in that cause. That there are causes all over the political spectrum, and other areas of life, that some fringe element of society's lost individuals cling to as their own. And in that, they believe very, very strongly in whatever cause as a source of their own life's vindication. Well, that fringe of people are dangerous, per the books' sentiment, and they will act out in extreme violence. Some band together, like the manson group. gangs... To tag conservatives with this tag is completely ignorant and offensive. I suppose Heck thinks it would make a good Letterman joke. I disagree. Mr. T
Its a shame or should I say a sham that patriotic people would be labeled terrorists. I could see that happening under a dictatorship, the last time I checked we were a free republic.

Mr. T
Now according to the DoD Training Manual: Protests are "Low-Level Terrorism" The Training introduction reads as follows: "Anti-terrorism (AT) and Force Protection (FP) are two facets of the Department of Defense (DoD) Mission Assurance Program. It is DoD policy, as found in DoDI 2000.16, that the DoD Components and the DoD elements and personnel shall be protected from terrorist acts through a high pirority, comprehensive, AT program. The DoD's AT program shall be all encompassing using an integrated systems approach." The first question of the Terrorism Threat Factors, "Knowledge Check 1" section reads as follows: Which of the following is an example of low-level terrorism activity? Select the correct answer and then click Check Your Answer. O Attacking the Pentagon O IEDs O Hate crimes against racial groups O Protests *** The "correct" answer is Protests. A copy of this can be found on the last two pages of this pdf The ACLU learned of this training and on June 10, 2009 sent a letter to the Gail McGinn, Acting Under-Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness, objecting to their training all DoD personnel that the exercise of First Amendment rights constitutes "low-level terrorism." http://open.salon.com/blog/dennis_loo/2009...level_terrorism
calfoxwc
Free speech is absolute while a Rep is pres, but when a Dem Leftist is pres, protests are dangerous, free speech is suspected terrorist indicator, bumper stickers are suspect... conservative talk show hosts are ridiculed and mininalized if possible, and conservative politicians are gleefully humiliated by attacking their children with slurs... hey, I smell a dishonest and dangerous trend here. "nobody else complains about Obama, it's only you, you're a dangerous lone wolf" "and you,, and you, and you and you and you and you" Not good. Really bad one step at a time.
