***Official Browns Vs. Chargers Game Day Thread***

Greetings for another NFL Gameday, Cleveland Browns fans!   😊  Our 2-2-1 Cleveland  Browns have a chance to win three  home games in Cleveland  by Week 6 of the NFL regular season, for the first time since 2014,  as the 3-2 Los Angeles Chargers come to First Energy Stadium, since giving the Browns their first, and only regular season win league win on Christmas afternoon Eve, back in the 2016.

Baker Mayfield probably with his fiery leadership probably would have guided the Browns from the beginning, instead of Tyrod Taylor, to a 4-1 or even a 5-0 record, had Mayfield been allowed to start at QB for the Browns on Week One.

Chargers though leads the all-time regular season series in today's 27th meeting leading with 16 wins, 9 losses, and 1 tie (16-16 in 1973), which began when the San Diego Chargers defeated the Browns 27-10 in Cleveland  after the AFL-NFL merger, back  on  November 1, 1970.

Partly cloudy skies at 56 degrees, feels like 53 degrees is the game forecast inside FirstEnergy Stadium, for the 1:05 PM Eastern Standard Time kickoff, along with 0% precipitation, 53% humidity, and  southeastern winds at 9 miles per hour.

Head Linesman Brad Allen leads his officiating crew assigned from the NFL offices in NYC, to supervise the game action between the Browns and the Chargers,

NO injuries, let's hope that Baker Mayfield and the rest of the Browns can lead to winning their third home game in six weeks since 2014, , and HERE WE GO BROWNIES,  HERE WE GO! WOOF! WOOF!  BELIEVELAND!!!    😀

Baker being told all week "you have no more WR weapons" PERFect! This game comes down to 2 things. Stopping a hot QB with a 70% completion rate. 7th in total yards/8th in points scored..They have 2 weak Tackles (both on injury report) allowing 6 sacks forcing Rivers 2 picks.A perfect challenge to Williams defensive plan. They rank 11th in rushing,10th against..Haley & Williams need to be at there best..Browns-23  La la what's a Chargers?-21..Rivers all season, has never played in a louder stadium than this week..W00F!! 🐶

Yes, but- if you're on IR, you don't show up on the injury report.  (Willies)  BTW, Tannehill is out for the Dolphins, and Brock Ostrich gets the call.... Damn, too late to change my pick in the Survivor pool.......

The Browns have been their own worst enemy.

If they can play without a lot of dumb mistakes and turnovers, this should be a game the dominate and win by double digits. Maybe triple digits.

Need to figure out how to start much faster. We have only 6 total points in the first quarter through 5 games. That needs to change, and hopefully it's this week!

ummm its not what I say.  It's what all the data says.

If you want to be a complete stat nerd that is so entrenched on data then by all means, do just that.

What your data will also show are coaches being matchup specific.  I.E. teams that are more flawed on the defensive front will generally have more runs called against them.   But since you're the raw numbers expert, do us a favor and post your data/sources.   Thanks, chief.
