Will the dems blow up their party and regain control? Or will the left double down and go civil war?

Recommended Posts

civil war, as in, an all out battle to own our gov. The left doesn't believe in taking turns.

nor free elections. nor "elections have consequences". after this Kavanaugh libel and slander, etc etc, they don't

believe in our Constitution, the rule of law, our form of gov, capitalism, freedom...nor God...and they sure as hell don't believe in taking

turns when it IS their turn. The only way marxists can get that power, they have to lie and cheat to get it, and they can never let go of it, because socialism/marxism doesn't work. So they then have to clamp down on the rights of common folks to keep that power.

Right now, it's just a question. But the left is trending towards all out dangerous, underhanded, even violent opposition to all things

AMERICA.

The politicization is happening either way, and it's shitty. The country is becoming more and more politically divided and it's shitty. And you're a prime example of the gullible saps on both sides that are just eating it up. Acting like pawns for those in power on both sides. If the Blaze told you root beer is only for dirty liberals you'd stop drinking it.

A. the politicization was caused by obamao and co. your little marxist czar wannabe sombeitches. One your liberal weiner marxist side is telling their cult followers to go out and harrass, scream at, get in their faces, confront them, push them...

not on Real America's side. I'm no example of that at all. Did you know that JUSTICE KAVANAUGH is taking the bench?

We won again. Look at the economy - the huge benefits for our veterans, our tax breaks, ...the list is really getting long.

Now, you bird up and let us know how much wonderful things your little buttock obaMao did GOOD for our country.

can you name ONE accomplish that was GOOD for our country?

you're the mindless, emotional twisted feathersferbrains sap.

Stuart

What is most frightening is that the left cannot be shamed.
You can put in front of them and prove how clearly wrong they were about an issue, expose their treachery for all to see, show them how they have clearly undermined of the rule of law and jurisprudence and none it wouldn't matter to them....because evil finds a way to absolve itself when the aim is to destroy conservatism...the greatest evil.

It is horseshit when some suggest "we need to come together"...you cant come together with that. You cant come together with abnormal.
They need to be destroyed by whatever means necessary.

But Trevor Noah is a hell of a lot funnier than The Blaze.😁

BTW I want to thank all my Yankee brethren up there for helping the South rise again. As you know the Dixiecrats of Texas and the rest of the South turned into the Republican party down here some time ago, which is why you have seen so many Confederate flags rise from the ground since 🤴 came on the scene. I still can't figure out how he let them get away with taking down so many lovely monuments. But I will say that the Confederate money given to me by my thievin' Yankee in-laws that I had professionally mounted & framed, is now worth about 2-3 times as much as it had been when I hung it in my library about 7 or so years ago. Plus my great great uncle John, who was shot through the legs at Shiloh (recovered in an  Ohio POW camp), can still rest easy because the 8th Texas Cavalry (Terry's Texas Rangers) still has this on the state capitol grounds.

yet the blaze and ammoland post a lot of information from other articles.

for instance:

this Blaze article talks about what Graham was saying on Fox News:

https://www.theblaze.com/news/2018/10/07/watch-lindsey-graham-throws-down-the-gauntlet-challenges-chuck-schumer-in-fiery-interview

this article in ammoland is by Newt Gingrich.

https://www.ammoland.com/2018/10/trump-continues-agenda-despite-media/#axzz5TI5usQyW

this article is you bitching and making no sense at all on any subject:

What?  The last 3 governors of Texas have been Republicans starting in '95.  Before that, through the entire history of the state there were 4 Republican and 39 Democrat governors.  Literally up until "recently", Texas has been exclusively Democrat.  What are you talking about?

Yes they changed but not for the reasons you have been conditioned to believe.

Southern democrat voters were becoming Republicans way before Lyndon Johnsons 1964 Civil Rights Act. You were brainwashed  to believe the CRA made angry racist Democrats become Republican.

And that wouldn't make sense because it if it weren't for the Republican congress passing it, it would have failed.

Woody, care to share your thoughts on this. I've been shocked by how much the Democrats are choosing to double down on appeasing the fringe. I have to imagine that what they've done to Kavanaugh is going to push moderates to the right. The DNC chose this hill to die on, and now the Republicans have gotten an enthusiasm boost just before the election. Looking at the maps, I'm not sure how on earth they're planning on flipping the Senate. I'm actually in agreement with cal that they're going to keep losing if they keep going down this path. They need to win over the blue collar base that Trump stole from them. Treating Kavanaugh as a rapist because he was nominated by Trump is NOT going to get them those votes.

Well, I'm not sure they treated Kavanaugh like a rapist just because he was elected by Trump. I get your point though, they went all out to not get him on the SC. I imagine the same thing would have happened with the roles reversed because of how pivotal it was. Now that leads to a discussion about the SCOTUS becoming completely politacized and adding term limits, but that's something else. Either way, this country is becoming way, way too divided politically and we aren't going to accomplish anything. It's more important the other guy loses than anybody, including the American people, win. Throw in lobby corruption, etc etc and here we are.

I'm not sure why the play to combat a move to the fringe on the right is a move to the fringe on the left. You think they could just settle in with a more moderate liberal message and clean up. Basically, joining the 21st century on social issues and then taking more moderate views financially.

Maybe the feeling is that won't generate any buzz. Nothing like the buzz Trump has. But Trump is feeding off of this white, male, middle class group that isn't oppressed in the slightest but they feel like they're victims in response to any leveling of power. Throw on the asinine SJW stuff and you have a recipe for the nerdy Bros of 4chan to March in support of their troll king.

That even carries over to the mainstream. Where conservatives claim a W for trolling liberals even when they didn't accomplish anything.

Anyway, I'm real apathetic to the whole process. I think a lot of young people are. We're living in a time where information is readily available to know how Shmucked up our political system, and the people in power, are. There's the feeling that, if we get to the point where Trump and Clinton are the choices, who the Shmuck cares? It doesn't even matter. The same people on the same sides will be bought by the same groups. People like some posters on this board will eat up all of the propaganda and perform like good little pawns. Sharing nonsense on Facebook with other people, as actual fake news runs rampant among people that want their beliefs confirmed, not hear the actual story or facts. It's like there's this whole older group that doesn't under things on the internet can be fake.

With all if this going on, and seeing all of this cowpoop from a more educated view near the middle (like yourself), it's just hard to care too much. There's just so much cowpoop in place. We need to vote, it's important and I get that, but... man...

So I went on a little rant then. The Dems have no idea what they're doing. They're trying to copy the Reps who, at their core, also have no idea what they're doing. Let them continue to become more and more fringe and we'll just hope a middle, third party emerges.

But that just happened with Garland/Gorsuch, and all the GOP did was to delay it. Bitch move, for sure that obviously motivated Democrats to drag the Kavanaugh hearing out as long as they could. But to go as far as they did? The only thing Kavanaugh did wrong was be appointed by Trump.

And this is why I believe the GOP is going to hold the Senate, and Trump is going to win in 2020. I agree with you completely on apathy. The way things are going is turning off most normal people to the entire process, and it's not just young people. Turnout was down in the 2016 election. If apathy prevails, then so does Trump. Who are the voting blocs that the Democrats just mobilized with this s.hitshow? Liberal females? Meanwhile, the moderates are seeing their retirements grow (bigly) and  they just watched one party unironically say that the presumption of innocence shouldn't apply. Personally, I find that thought terrifying. Not to mention that the attacks on Kavanaugh managed to unite the GOP. The Democrat voting blocs agree on practically nothing. Their blue collar voting bloc has moved to support Trump. I cannot for the life of me see how these next few years are going to go well for Democrats.

I'd have agreed with your thoughts on the GOP two years ago. However, they have since rallied around Trump. And they're rallying around him even harder after this buffoonery from the DNC. As one of my friends put it, the Democrats have become the party of victimhood. Who in the middle is going to want to be a part of that? Contrast that to Trump and the GOP who can point out that they're winning on immigration, law, and the economy. What arguments are left to try and knock Trump down? Here are some decent reads, one from a conservative, one from a liberal, on the topic.

That is some excellent stuff, Vap. And the two links - that is also some great reading. Me, I'll keep quiet a bit, and reread them. Really well written.

The CNN one surprised me with the fairness, but I will quibble on one point. The Dems gleefully gloat over "under investigation" to slur political opposition. This goes back to "investigating Bush/Cheney" for outing Julie Plame as being whatever she was for the CIA.

And it seemed "Bush/Cheney outed Plame" went on for months. The trouble was, it was never Bush/Cheney.

The person who actually did the outing was never "under investigation". That is an early example of the damage we see in political fighting from the Dems to this day, x 3.

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Former Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage acknowledged Thursday that he was the source who first revealed the identity of CIA officer Valerie Plame to syndicated columnist Robert Novak back in 2003, touching off a federal investigation.Sep 8, 2006

There is so much denial here I couldn't bear to read the rest of it.

The same thing would NOT have happened if the roles were reversed. Had the Reps received a letter accusing a leftist nominee of attempted rape that happed 36 yrs. ago as a teen, with no evidence and no witnesses, they would have scoffed and threw it out.

Nothing will get accomplished because of this political division? cowpoop. Trump continues to deliver on his campaign promises. The conservative supreme court. He has delivered on trade. What is really impressive is how much Trump has accomplished in two years with all the obstacles he has faced from the demonrats total obstruction and resist playbook to the Mueller witch hunt. Also the biased corrupt MSM has given him very little credit for any of his accomplishments and have been  running about 90 percent negative stories on him. The economy right now is something the Obama administration could only dream of in his 8 years in office.

Conclusion from your article.

"The movement of the South toward the Republicans is not a story of a rapid realignment brought about by LBJ's actions in the race debates of the 1960s. It was a slow, century-long process that began before LBJ was elected to Congress, that is still unfolding today and that, while driven in part by race, most certainly did not have "everything to do with race."

I would venture to say about  99% of the white racists in the south and indeed the country all voted for Trump. I would venture to say that is true too of mysogynists.

Now does that mean I think that all Trump voters fall into one or the other of those categories? Nope. Two different things.
