wait, wut? is that in dollars? so we can mandate mexicans get $15/hr but the richest global companies like mcd's and walmart...............is this fir real?

You can mandate in a trade agreement whatever is accepted by both sides. What Trump just did was good for American workers but not so much for American consumers because cars will now cost more to make and that extra cost will be passed on to car buyers.

And lack of competition is the huge drawback for socialism and one of the reasons why capitalism produces the highest standard of living.

but prices are also managed in a more socialist system, so theres give and takes. What ur not understanding is that our standard of living has to do with our monetary system and how we create money. That could have existed if we were commies, so long as the rest of the world agreed to use the american $$. And they agreed to that in 1944....

"In 1944, when the US dollar was chosen as the world referencecurrency at Bretton Woods, it was only the second currency in globalreserves."

and now u understand why the u.s got into ww2. The nazi's wanted to run the euro banks so the euro banking cartels incentivized the u.s thusly.

And now u know. Our involvement in ww2 was not the egalitarian mission we were taught since childhood.

No, I'm that strong about my patriotism. Grandfathers in WW1...father and uncles in WW2.....uncles killed in WW2........Viet Nam vet, along with several of my cousins.......lost many friends over there. If you want to call me insecure because I feel like these guys are disrespectful........so be it. There are MANY who agree with me.

Are you really that insecure in your patriotism ?

Too bad in a way that everything in *AMERICA* now has to be a hot lightning rod issue for both sides to get all bent out of shape about instead of being able to discuss it like civilized people.

Can't wait for the next election.

I have a lot of that.....but I don't feel insecure about my patriotism.

As for being disrespectful....it, to me was such a minor thing in comparison to some that it was hardly noticeable.    Like a gnat.  I have seen many many worse disrespectful things done during the playing of the anthem.....people yabbering away, people not taking off their hats, people basically completely ignoring it altogether.  People continuing to guzzle their beer and laughing etc.

I mean, at least with his protest, I guess, it showed that he thought that the playing of the anthem had some meaning and importance.  These other people that I have seen never even give the meaning a thought, nor cared enough about it to not go about their business oblivious to it.

I mean, some people act like their fuyucking world has been shaken over this. I mean, get a life.

It was a mole hill made into a mountain merely for political reasons.

We can agree to disagree......this is not a "hill I want to die on"..........as they say. I agree that people disrespect the National Anthem all the time by exactly what you posted. But they don't do it in an "in your face" way. I guess I was just raised to respect the flag. Drilled into my head by family, and then by the military itself.  I'll get down off my soapbox now.....sorry I even brought it up...............Go Browns!

Bunch of f*king sissies crying about an athlete being endorsed by Nike. All because he "kneeled"

I never knew that kneeling was so disgraceful! So tasteless!

So if someone kneels during church, are you also offended?

They don't "kneel" cause they hate the flag, or the country, or whatever..

But sure, keep trying to spin the narrative so it fits your outrage...

Like there isn't bigger problems in the world to be outraged over..

As a veteran I support his right to protest, but there are 2 big issues.

1. Kneeling for the anthem and saying that America is racist is gross. Disrespecting a country is a sure fire way to lose your message.

2. There is no discussion on how to fix the problem. Just crying about police brutality and racism isn't going to change anything. People have to have a dialogue, but that gets shuts down when mental midgets just scream racism or have blind loyalty to the state. A logical person should be able to look at the evidence and see a clear cut difference between the micheal brown incident and the Castille murder.

If you believe all publicity is good publicity then Nike succeeded but I think long term this will hurt their brand.

with who? u dont have to be a marketing savant to realize the people who are slaves to that brand, arent people who are going to be put off by kaepernick.

im actually irritated that this campaign will likely make them money. They're just another corporate entity cashing in on a trend, theres nothing real about these people. I feel sorry for the gullible consumers that eat this sht up ftom these fake a.ss companies
