Nick Foles will start for the Philadelphia Eagles against the Cleveland Browns on Thursday and will play a significant amount of snaps in the process. Eagles head coach Doug Pederson announced Foles and the Eagles first team will play at least the first half in Thursday's third preseason game, which is the dress rehearsal for the regular season opener against the Atlanta Falcons on September 6.

Foles will get his wish to play the third preseason game, after finishing 3-of-9 for 44 yards and a 50.2 passer rating in his preseason debut, capping the night with a shoulder strain on a strip-sack fumble that led to a New England Patriots touchdown. Foles' injury is behind him, hence the decision to get him ready for the season opener.

"It would mean a lot," Foles said after the game against the Patriots. "It would mean I’d be back on the playing field with the guys. That’s what I feel like is going to happen. But once again, you sort of have to go through the proper channels and proper protocols with all of this. I’ll find out more information tomorrow and go from there.".........

A lot is being made about our first string offense, but I think I'm more interested in seeing our starting defense play an entire half. We haven't gotten a chance to see these guys play too much together, and I want to know if last week's performance was legit, or if their string of 3 and outs was something else. The Eagles just got Nick Foles back from minor injuries, so I can't imagine they want him to get hit. Especially with Wentz not quite healthy yet. You can bet on quick passes, screens, and 3 step drops. You don't want Myles Garrett coming around the edge and laying the boom down when your starter isn't fully back.

Philly's OL is praised as highly as the Steel-queers OL..It's a good test for Week 1..Don't bang on Center Jason "king" Kelce either, He's a crazed maniac from Cleveland Heights..it's not all his fault we screwed up..
