sounds like "democratic nazi-ism" to me.

at least, more and more, the left and democrat politicians are being honest about what they

you just changed the subject. You ever hear of anybody getting wealthy in a socialist country?

(besides those higher ups in gov) ?

TEX: "tax breaks for the super-wealthy...blah blah"

CAL: "Venezuela"

Everybody deserves a tax break. Why persecute the wealthy with no tax breaks?

All men and women are equal American citizens with the same rights.

even the wealthy people.

Have a nice cranky day.

Venezuelan currency is now worse than the hyperinflation of Wiemar Germany between the WWs. Anyone with any money and good sense got it and themselves out a long time ago.

The difference for you and me vs the super-rich cal is that our tax breaks under the new law that was passed revert back to prior levels in a very few years and theirs are permanent. We both have a right to be cranky about that basic unfairness built into that law. So you see, all men and women under that law ARE NOT equal Americans with the SAME rights. Some are more equal than others in the long run, especially some with Empires to protect that get to sign those kinds of bills.🤴

The democrats play the class warfare game all the time and it is not good for the country. I want people to be able to make lots of money in this country as usually we all benefit from it. They are the job creators and pay most of the taxes. I'm not envious of those who make lots of money and are successful, I want to see more of them. The American dream has always been that if you work hard and are smart you can be successful and prosperous. Socialism is usually just shared misery at best. Capitalism with it's faults has always shown to be the best system for the highest standard of living for it's people. What I want to see though is the American people benefit from those making a lot of money and I don't want to see greedy businesses move out of the country to make even more money at the expense of our own citizens. On this issue I give Trump credit for trying to bring back mfg jobs to the US.

Unchecked capitalism is a game of monopoly... we all know how that ends.

Point being, no system is perfect.  But the wealth inequality in this country, the erosion of the middle class, thus the largest tax base in this country, is a real issue that needs to be addressed.  One our current political system (two traitorous parties) is not equipped to deal with.  There will, god willing, be a grand realignment coming in my lifetime with some more sensible minds prevailing.   Our country is not normal right now and I pity anyone that believes it is.

One of the reasons wages have been stagnant for working people for decades now has been the cheap labor coming across the border illegally. Both political parties have not wanted to secure our border for different reasons. The dems see a new block of potential voters who will keep them in power and the chamber of commerce wing of the GOP don't want to see the border secure as they benefit from the cheap labor. We would benefit from having more than a two party system and have 3 or 4 viable parties but I don't see it happening with the money and stranglehold the two party system has.

LOL LOL LOL

It's nonsense to emotionally knee jerk about "both" political parties when

the reps are supporting who we are, and have always been,

and the dems are fighting to make America in their own twisted image.

Obamao even SAID "TRANSFORM".

socialism. Permanent needy votes majority.

Yeah, that's a load of horseshit.   You make it sound like those people are taking careers that have seen stagnant wages for years, which simply isn't true.    Even skilled labor the last 30 years has been flatlined if not outright declined.        Plus, sorry, there haven't been THAT many illegals to take the number of jobs away from Americans in which would justify that argument.

* Sorry Tiams but I don't have a high regard for the NY Times and as for Forbes and other business articles you posted see other post I made about the chamber of commerce wing of the GOP that wants the cheap labor coming across the border.

This is just a fact:

"Employers don’t hand out raises and benefits like Santa Claus distributing presents. They respond to market forces, paying what they need to pay and offering the benefits needed to attract and retain workers. In recent years, it simply hasn’t been necessary to increase wages or benefits for most lower-paid, lower-skill workers in most parts of the country because there are simply too many people in this segment of the labor pool"

From the same article and I like what he is saying here:

"Few want to go on record making a link between immigration and wage stagnation, however, because many fear that they’ll be accused of blaming or scapegoating immigrants. There are good reasons to be cautious because, sadly, there are extremists in this country (and in every other wealthy nation) who hate foreigners and anyone who looks different than them. There are also people like me, who are politically moderate or even liberal who believe that most immigrants, legal and illegal, are good people who deserve our respect. But that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be concerned about the impact that immigration has on the working poor in America.

The reality is that extremists operate outside our political culture and aren’t part of any serious policy debate anyway. We cannot avoid a frank and open discussion of the wage stagnation crisis and how immigration and a potential amnesty impacts it simply because we are afraid of providing ammunition to hateful individuals who aren’t going to change no matter what we do. There is a fear that if we admit that large-scale immigration impacts wages that people will dislike immigrants on a personal level, but I think that sells the American people short. Most people are, by nature, welcoming, and are rational enough to have a public policy debate without making it personal. It’s high time we had an open and honest debate about why wages for the working poor aren’t going up."
