Then they must have seen enough in training camp to have settled on him as the starter.👍

I think they know what he can do. And hes not involved in a lot of pass plays. I'm sure they want to have good looks at Chubbs and Co.

OH NO! WAS TO START FRIDAY.

CLEVELAND -- The Indians have been able to dance around injury after injury this season, but Tuesday they received news that will be difficult to overcome. Cy Young candidate Trevor Bauer has a stress fracture of the right fibula and has been placed on the 10-day disabled list.

Bauer was struck by a line drive above his right ankle on Saturday night against the White Sox. X-rays taken that night were negative, but an MRI on Tuesday revealed what manager Terry Francona called a "small' stress fracture of the fibula.

Adam Plutko will take Bauer's spot in the rotation and start against the Orioles on Saturday at Progressive Field. The Indians recalled lefty Tyler Olson from Class AAA Columbus to help out the bullpen for the immediate future.......?

Yeah, not great but October & the playoffs (when they really need him) are still a long ways off. 12 games up with around 40 left to play, the Tribe is a virtual lock to get to the post season, even without Bauer.

The BROWNS and INDIANS playing the same time on Jim Thome weekend,  how cool.

Meanwhile the TRIBE on pace to win about 93 games and maybe catch Houston for the #2 seed.

Tribe v Browns?

Browns because aren't there like 100 games left in the MLB season? ;)

About 40, with the Tribe comfortably in front of a Twins team that epically underperformed this season, with the exception of when they play the Indians.

It just seems like 100, one of my big complaints about MLB. Way too many games.....  A 162 game exhibition schedule, determining seeding for the playoffs....

I love baseball, in fact the older I get the bigger the gap between baseball and football gets.

That being said, in a perfect world MLB would go back to at least a 154 game schedule, and to be honest, I think around 140 would suffice. Start the season a week or so later, have the season end mid-September, and have the World Series wrap up about the time it used to, the first week of October.

If it was up to me, I'd shorten all the pro regular seasons. I'd go back to 14 NFL games and about 60 NBA and NHL games, and shorten their ridiculous playoff seasons too.

YES!!!!  I agree totally (and the hell with interleague play during the regular season), but I'm not an accountant.

Yeah, that pick six was on nfl.com- completely telegraphed the pass. Too easy for the GB defensive back.

Nice but regardless of who's in on any particular play it's  still exciting to see football on TV from Cleveland!
