Ironic that it has more freedom now than Venezuela. The world has turned upside down. Still, and I'm not kidding here, at the end of the day what's the difference, really? If you live in a dictatorship you can't remove the politicians and replace them with other politicians. Here in the United States we supposedly can. But like I said often enough without Sean Hannity and Rachel Maddow to tell you how wonderful or horrible your life is you would have no idea. If one country is a shitehole that's one thing but democracy or dictatorship probably makes little difference. I would rather live in a prosperous dictatorship than a third-world hell hole democracy. You would have loved for some budding Latin American democracy to have taken you in whether it had flaws or not. My friends were very lucky that this relatively "new' democracy agreed to grant them asylum from a former democracy taken over by dictators who jail opposition indefinitely without trail, without a sentence and without legal representation. You would not be prosperous for long if you said or even typed one negative thing about them on the internet if you were even allowed access to it. BTW-my friend had to keep their plans absolutely secret until they had actually left the country under a ruse. And I swore secrecy that I would not reveal which country actually took them in, even though I know exactly where they are now. Most Americans have no idea what the absence of freedom really means. It was during that second term they took over control of all media and jailed opposition. It all started as just another "national" cult of personality with Chavez, the "Bolivarian" second revolution. And it has not ended yet with Maduro. Now just go back and see how such a civilized/cultured nation like Germany could have ended in such a world wide disaster. It started with a cult of personality around a narcissistic personality disorder that propagandized a whole nation into insanity. We are not as immune as you may think we are. Stack the courts so you are not held accountable, keep your loyal blackshirts happy with MAGA BS, make an enemy of the press/media and we're well on our way. Also, and In fairness I'm not sure that you are picking up the open-borders banner merely for your hatred of trump, but the Jews are among the best and the brightest in Germany and around the world. Not the dregs of the worst hell holes in the world. Just saying it's not a good comparison. There is a huge difference between poor people from other countries that come here and work hard for low wages and the millions of destitute and children who will spend their entire lives on welfare. This is an abberation of procreation im not on board with and this is exactly why contraception and yes, abortion too. needs to be morevprevalent throughout developing countries and thevworld for that matter. Im in no mood anymore to hear about the bullsht notion of divine procreation, humans long ago sht all over that so im good. you guys complain bitterly about people flooding into developed countries yet they're all from these old testament shtholes that the u.s deliberately interferes in with contraception projects there. Think about it, the two most overpopulated countries in the world, india and china, with problems at least in the past similiar to central american shtholes...dont have people flooding into other countries demanding social services.
