it had the intended effect of making people stay home who likely would have voted for hillary. the problem is, russia meddling or not...was what came out "true". i think alot of it was or the dnc and hillary would have "vigorously" defended themselves by now on a point by point basis. in the end its still hillary and the dnc's fault they lost. when all that sht came out not only did registered bernie dems stay home, left leaning independants stsyed home too

republicans still want to think trumps win was some huge populist uprising when it was simoly the absence of people who give little to no fuks about dems and reps. it was a base vote, and enough of the dem base was sufficiently disenfranchised by the dems corruption. 

u all can argue that till ur good and blue in the face, but it is what it is. and thats why alot of u should be more concerned about trumps behavior than u are. if he douch's off enough people that sat home in 2016 are gonna be likw oh hell no not again. dems are counting on him being so personally odious that it wont matter who they run

What we are ignoring, or some people are ignoring, is the fact that whatever dirt WikiLeaks, spurred on by the ruskies or anybody else, put out about Hillary was true. For instance let's say Woody beat up his girlfriend. It doesn't really matter who reports it weather its Cal or Cleve.

You have just successfully identified narcissistic Trump's biggest weakness towards trying to hold Russia accountable for meddling. He is unable to face the fact that he needed any assistance at all from them because it makes him appear to be a "fake" president. So when Putin last told him they did nothing, his ego couldn't do anything but accept that as fact. The Republican party is doing it's best to get him to confront Putin more forcefully this time around, but my prediction is that he will be just as impotent as he was the first time. He didn't GET any assistance. They tried to meddle in the election, OK. We'll make them pay for that. assange whatever sp, says the russians didn't give him the emails.

It all boils down to this: The dirty corrupt obaMao regime knew about the russian interference.

They did not stop it, they even kept it a secret that is was happening.

ONLY after they lost the election did they cry foul.

It most certainly was. It was not a big plus for the Republican party because for the first time enough people with pot both parties sucked voted for an actual outsider. George Wallace Ross Perot Ralph Nader Gary Johnson blah blah blah. Trump just happened to run as a Republican. The Democrats have sprouted the same populist crap as him plenty of times in the past. You can hear Obama and Clinton and others preaching against illegal immigration and for tariffs and protectionism. And against free trade.

If the GOP had their way it would be Bush three in the White House.
