Weeden would've won those games that brian won Well since this thread got bumped- Wee-done never had a game winning drive in his entire pro career- Hoyer has two. Garbage is 4-1 as a starter for the Browns, Wee-done 5-15. Garbage- 60 completion %, 85 qbr. Wee-done 56 completion %, 72 qbr. This right here. As someone who didn't like Weedon but thought that not all of those losses were on Weeds...cause that line last year was one of the worst I've seen from the browns since 99...weedon's unprecedented streak of underhand throws even AFTER the Lions game precludes any discussion of parity between him and Hoyer. People don't realize that Weeds tried that underhand at least 2 more times after the Lions game but didn't result in int's....or completions for that matter. Forgot to mention- Wee-done looked terrible because he took about 10 minutes to try and decipher the opposing defense, and has a windup slow as molasses- there isn't an o-line in the NFL that can hold blocks that long. When he scrambles to his left, his throws are erratic and off target. Anybody else notice this? i believe he went to his left in his only throw in the saint's game...was on target but the receiver dropped the ball.... Give the kid a break, he's not NFL ready....give him a year or two and he's competing for the starting job. Let's please let this discussion die. I honestly think JM himself is relieved he's not the starter cause it dawned on him what kind of a mental leap it is from college to NFL. Failure at the end of the game was a tipped pass, not a bad pass. And for the record, this Team that was supposed to have the Defense as it's identity is currently ranked 32nd in yards per play allowed and are giving up 425yards per game (31st to date).
