Betting on games, theater style seating, 4 games on at once, free beer and some drinks too, if you gamble, Carnigie deli around the corner. Bunch of football fans having a swell time. I will go back. I spent a Sunday in the Harrah's casino in Tahoe in 1999. You could sit and watch all the games being played after having placed your bets. It was fun. The Browns had just "come back"....and the game was vs. the Bengals. I put a 5 dollar bet on them to win. This was the game in which Akili Smith like won the only game of his career as a starter. The Bengals scored in the last minute to win by 2 I think....but they were favored to win by like 3 or 5 points. The Browns covered but lost the game. I was so pissed that I never collected my winnings. I still have the ticket as a souvenir of the day.

The best experience I've had by far though was in Lagasse's stadium at the Palazzo. Sounds crazy at first, but we got private recliner seats and the area is stadium style seating with the typical myriad of screens setup. The reserved seats also come with a private (not high roller) area with craps & blackjack, so free booze (and good booze at that). It was during an OSU game and I can safely say I haven't had that was an amazing evening. And now, perhaps...you can have that same experience right here in Cleveland. But....there is a BIG question to be answered: Will a person be able to own both a sports franchise AND a casino that will be involved in sports betting? Of course I am thinking of Dan Gilbert. Under NFL rules Gilbert could NOT own both a team and a casino....but the NBA does not disallow that, obviously. But I don't know if Gilbert can both own the Cavs....and also own a casino that allows betting on the Cavs. I guarandamntee you that the casinos in this area: the two JACKS, downtown and at Thistledown...owned by Gilbert and the Hard Rock at Northfield will want to get into the sports gaming arena. But I do not see any way that Gilbert could go along with not having sports betting in the Casinos he owns while it is allowed at the Hard Rock.
