Oh I did see tickets on Stubhub on Saturday early AM for Sunday but no specified seats mentioned even though you hear stories of how rare they are like a Super Bowl ticket -and- more importantly what cigars did you end up taking to Agusta?

Just FYI...in the town where I am from here....and Westside too.....Norton, Ohio we had a Masters winner live here:  Herman Keiser  Wnner of the 1946 Masters.

His younger son Greg was a year ahead of me in school.  His older son  Herm Keiser Jr.   was a member of the ONLY team state championship that Norton HS has ever won to my knowledge.   Yes, it was in golf.   The 1964 Ohio State Golf Champions.  For years  Keiser, and then his son ran a driving range in Copley.

Thanks man. As I say, it was humbling for me. The size of the comp from the Casino still flabbergasts me. Not in a boastful way. Not being a golf fan makes this even more remarkable to me because from the moment I approached the facility I was in awe of what came before me, and just how much these men have accomplished. Some of the shots we saw were far better than the photoshopped tricks on Youtube. I wish everyone could have a day like this. 

I don't know if I posted this or not, but right before we got our tickets, we got instructions, and I turned the guy into a Browns fan.

Stinks, one of the things that bring Ghoolie out of hibernation is the very kind of Browns fan we are talking about. My roots with the Browns go back many moons. But so do my roots with the Steelers. Once, after we bashed the Steelers on a really gloomy Sunday, my Dad took me to where the Steelers was coming out of the stadium and told me all about the tough guy finger Hoak. You should have seen the look on the man's face when a kid with a Browns sweatshirt on asked him for his autograph.

Isn't it weird? Fans here will cheer a Buckeyes player for 4 years, and then turn on him when he is drafted by the Steelers? And tell me, should my Dad be cursed for teaching me that even though my team won, that there are some great people on the losing team? 

Rich4Eagle, one of the nicest guys you would ever want to meet, has been eviscerated here (once, jokingly, even by me) for saying that he loves the Steelers. So what? Does that make his love for the Browns counterfeit? Oddly, on the Steelers forums, he is only mildly razzed for being a Browns fan.

Childish, which at times is my middle name however, belies the bigger childish nature of many Browns fans who honestly think there is the highest nobility in being a Browns fan. Some of the best times I have enjoyed were sitting in TRS with Browns colors, amid Steeler fans. Steeler fans don't get the same civility in Cleveland Stadium. That's just really, really weird.

• In Vegas, if you play dollar machines, it doesn't matter where you play, the odds are equal (92-94% composite)
• In Vegas if you play $5 denomination or higher, the odds on the strip are the best (98 - 99%). The downtown casinos and minor houses just don't have enough of that trade to risk one-time then walk-away type big hits so they protect themselves with lower odds (94-95%)
• Anywhere, if you play slots with pop culture branding, (Wheel of Fortune, Walking Dead, Sex in the City, Flintstones) you are playing the absolute worst, lowest odds that you can play. The casino does not own those machines and merely leases the space to the provider, and the odds on those machines are regulated a wee bit differently. They are the worst to play.
• Casinos do not very often change slot machine odds, nor do they place higher paying machines in highly visible areas. If they did, people would only want to pla those machines.
• Progressive machines, those with a continually escalating jackpot, have the lowest odds of all the Casino-owned machines.

So, on to what we spend? We are 7-Star players at Caesars and Noir at MGM. 7-star requires one to attain 150,000 tier credits, with 1 tier credit = $5 worth of slot spin. So, to get that you need to send $750,000 worth of spins through their machines. That doesn't mean you spend $750K, but you spin $750K. If you aren't getting a lot of jackpots and hits to keep you spinning and accumulating, you can go broke trying to reach that level.

My wife is an anomaly. 18 months ago, while at the Beau Rivage high limit slot room, she hit 32 hand-pay jackpots on a Sunday. The demonimations were several  2K, 4K , 8K and 16K, with one of 80K. She hit a total of over $300,000 of jackpots that day. She put a lot back, but, we went home with the 20K she planned to risk, and the 80K jackpot, which that year, paid off her car, and income tax. Oddly, nobody in the high limit slot are was hitting many hand-pays. a few, but not like my wife. People are generally in awe, or pissed at her casino journey. Why is this? 

Here is the only thing I can muster up. Having strong faith, she believes the teaching that God loves a cheeful giver. Every year she buys bicycles and coats for poor kids, sends poor kids to camp, buys books and computers. She donates a lot of money to rescuing and caring for dogs, and for 4 years now, you supported me launching a new water technology that just today, went commercial.

So, when she sits at a slot machine, I think there is more going on than meets the eye. 

Are we ahead of the Casinos? Well, we have never exceeded our yearly alloted budget for Vegas. On top of that we never pay for rooms, flights, limos, cabs, booze, concerts or crap like The Masters. SO, what is the value of that? Just today we got an invite to the Kentucky Derby, and are going on an all expense paid cruise to Alaska, in a really, really breathtaking baclony cabin on a brand new cruise ship.

Honestly, we normally don't even talk about this crap because of the preconceived notions that people have about gambling and casinos. 

Again, we don't have a system, and we don't think we have inside information that makes us casino insiders. We like Vegas, and my wife plays aggressively. Sometimes we lose $15K in an evining, or $25 K over a 5 day trip. But other times we go home $100,00 or more ahead. But honestly, over the past 8 years, we have the better end of the deal.

Just thought about it, and really only kidding, but you remind me of that guy who is a genius on Scorpion (except the mere little fact that you just CLAIM to be a genius with your schick.) I say that because he has come up with this huge water filtration technology. 

When you talk and act like this, you seem like a good guy. But the things you have said in here seem realistic, if not very fortunate, and saying you don't have some kind of system or KNOW how to win, while Ghoolie would be saying he knows exactly how to win every time he steps in a casino. Ghoolie would be 10 times smarter in a casino than Rain Man.

I don't claim to be a genius. I may joke, but I am humbled by my blessings. Regarding the crowds, it was an evolving thing. Early in the day, of course, Tiger was drawing the most attention. As the day progressed however, by the time the top 3 teams were on the tees, it seemed to be more about the contenders. Some of the loudest roars however had nothing to do with fame or position, but just the many tremendous shots that were being made.

Our seats at the 18th were slightly compromised by the unbelievably hilly terrain, but as we sat, only seeing the approach guys from the shoulders up, we got to see two chip shots for Eagle, from probably 40 and 50 yards out. Hell, Kizer couldn't hit a TE from that distance. Honestly, I came away with great respect for these guys. By the time the leaders were at the 7th hole, all the noise was on them.

In general though, it is really a disciplined event. As I said, no cameras, no Tomfoolery. I have no idea how many people were there, but it was a lot. The only poor behavior I saw is some idiots not respecting the walkways and stepping into the field of play.

programming niche - and I was driving a bus of old folks from an assisted living place.

  Drove them to gamble to WV - and a couple of them were giving the rest hints. One hint was, goofing off at the

one arm bandits - they said to try to play the ones on the ends of the rows. So, while there, I did. I played the one

they said was best, on the end of the row. I played twice - and won $ 50.00. and then I quit. LOL.

They had slots overseas on the military bases in the Pacific.  When I was stationed on Okinawa, I got a haircut one day.  Was leaving and stopped in the slot room.  Deposited one quarter and won a 75 dollar jackpot. Not bad in 1985,.

Part of the issue with TBB is that originally on AOL we all went through a Ghoolie shock fets. Everyone thought I was a closet killer, lol. But we all met (at the time) and a lot of us became personal friends. For them, the Ghoolie thing was illuminated as just enough reality, to confuse a hell of a lot of people. This board, well, it has a ton of new folks who really don't know that history. For instance, Rich4Eagle, who is one of my dearest friends, upon meeting me at the 1999 inaugural, clenchied his fist anticipating a fight when I approached but kissed him on the cheek.

I can't apologize for the offensive crap, because itis never meant to be mean-spirited, and also, it is now an engrained persona.
