TexasAg1969
LOL! My son is eligible for Sons of the Confederacy through me and my daughter and son for the Mayflower Society through their Mom via John Howland and Elizabeth Tilley who came over on that ship and married within a few years (she was 13 when they landed). I'm surrounded by Yankees in my own home. PS - although one of my Confederate soldier great, great grandfathers was actually born on a farm near Gardiner, Maine. His parents and his brother who served with the Union are buried on the original farm there. Met my cousin (from the brother) there once who lived on that farm and showed me the family cemetery. Strange feeling seeing gravesites of great, great, great grandparents in a place that far removed from Texas.
