Bortles v . BR will likely be no match.  If the Jags win..it will be with their defense...and they are capable of that.

Bortles' greatest change was to not think he has to win every play or even every possession. So when he forces less and lets that defense play he is far more effective and less of a burden.

Well he should be available. :)

I thought he had some great potential, a Wentz-like player hmmmm I wonder when the clock is up on him? Too early yet? Way too early?

I'd rather pick up whichever QB Minnesota doesn't re-sign.. Bridgewater or Keenum. Both are better than Bortles and would be a 1-2yr starter before our draft pick is ready..

Both Bortles and Wentz had the exact same comp % this year 60.2 but Wentz had a higher QBR, but the MIN castoffs might be interesting.

Bortles did very well the last couple of months of the season, but the issue with him is lack of consistency especially given his weapons -- even if they win it will be in spite of him [credit their great FA and drafting on defense] rather than because of him.  Teddy got injured and Case stepped in to deliver his "Where The Heck Did That Guy Come From" season.. MIN has a salary choice to make and so I wouldn't consider the other QB from MIN to be a castoff..

Another money driven castoff then? I just wonder what the price tag might be......but the BROWNS could do it.

Better than yet another rookie QB experiment to be the team savior.

I see Keenum and Teddy B both staying in MN... so that would make Bradford "the other" QB. Still interested?

IMO Keenum, Bridgewater, Bradford and Bortles would all just be name additions to "the jersey". I want nothing to do with any of them.

Have they in fact signed a deal?
