taco gives advice to Dorsey.....

1) fire Hue(or really push Haslem to do it).  Why do I say this?  Because despite the lack of talent, 1-28 or whatever it is is 1-28.  The chance of a very talent deficient team that is well coached going 1-28?  Almost zero.  When you look at our winning% chances going into each of the last 29 games, the average chance is about 25-30% per the metrics.  So how do we have 1 win?  Well certainly some of it is chance/bad luck, but that's just so far below what should be expected from even a very talent deficient team that you can't help but think coaching is part of it.  I don't know that Hue is the worst coach in the nfl or anything, but a good coach would never go 1-28 over 29 games.   So get rid of him.

2) Use advanced statistics in evaluating players, signings, etc.  They are out there now.  They aren't as advanced as what the nfl or mlb does yet, but they do exist and they give us more insight into how good players really are as compared to the more traditional metrics.  Hopefully Dorsey will take an extremely data driven approach to the job.  No more britt signings for example.

3) Trade down from 6/7/8 wherever that Texans pick is.  We are still very very talent deficient.  He'll take the qb at #1, but we still need more players.  Too many missed high draft picks over the last 3 years caused that.  Sure it would be nice to take a ridley there, but two players would be even better.

4) stop running your mouth so much early on.  It would be great if we did win the division next year.  That's always the goal.  And while it's not the zero percent chance some think, it's also not very realistic.  But why announce it?  likewise, what was the point of the 'real players' comment?   we all know the roster right now isn't very good....no need to announce that.  But in the nfl fortunes change very quickly.

5) finally, past failures in the nfl on an organizational level are not predictive of future results. You will be graded against the curve of other general managers and organizations in this league, not against past browns failures.

He said it because many people like the tough guy/straight shooter act, even if what is said is not entirely accurate ("no real players") or outright absurd ("2018 division title"). He probably also said it because he sees it as setting a higher standard and making himself look like he's fully committed. But if the Browns have fewer than five or six wins next season, these things will be thrown back in his face in the Cleveland sports media and on forums like this one.

5-6 wins next season and im offering the entire lockerrom old fashioneds. Fuk. 5-6 wins is like a paradigm shift for this org.

5-6 wins will not be a definite sign that things are going in the right direction. It might be, it might not be.
