This is not the Wall, this is replacement/upgrade of existing fencing (more).

I don't know how many people watched the video of Trump reviewing the prototypes, but when talking with the Border Patrol, they said that they personally built the section of fencing along the area they were at.

They basically used scrap sheet metal for the construction, looked similar or worse than the stuff you can see to the upper left here that they are replacing.

The BP Agents said even the shoddy fence they built had reduced illegal traffic in their area by 95%. They also said they preferred something they could see through so they could be better prepared and not surprised.

If that shoddy stuff helped them that much, then these new see through sections should be quite the improvement.

I don't think the whole Border is supposed to be a huge wall, there will likely be sections like this in areas with greater presence/visibility.

Also, there are Flash Floods in some areas where the water needs to be able to flow through without backing up and causing issues - this fits the bill.

I think I may have addressed this some time back as well, but possibly not as I don't post all the stuff I run across.

 

The short of it is, all those Fines / Fees / Penalties for EPA (and other) Government Agencies - well, Obama had all that money going into Leftist organizations.

These essentially were just Slush Funds as mentioned for the Dems.

 

Good example is all those "Shovel Ready Jobs" he directed all that money too, that just went into Labor Union Coffers (which had supported his Campaign), so basically our Taxes funded his Campaign.

 

The R's have their Pork as well, but theirs are primarily in Bills (Omnibus that just passed is prime example).

 

Don't doubt that this doesn't apply to both sides, the Dems have just been in power for the last 8 years and with all the Rino support really turned things hard in their favor.

When you look at how much support Trump got early on (almost none) from his own Party, it should be pretty obvious how easy it was to redirect all this stuff.

This didn't even really change until almost the end of year when the Collusion story really showed how fake it all was.
