Not in NE. Never won a playoff game.

Why would I care about Carrol after he was fired. Do you care about Crennel and Mangini?

Beep Beep Beep, back peddle?

You called Belichick's predecessors clowns.  Don't back up, just admit you misspoke.  It happens man, I do it once a weekend.  It's ok

A coach at a top college would be crazy to take a NFL job.

The settings are usually very nice.  The perks are great....Spurrier got a Augusta membership to coach at South Carolina.  They control( to a degree) who they can bring in, and can control those guys because if their wish is to play in the NFL, they have to listen to the coach.

Plus, they make more than the help.  It's never good when the boss is making less than his crew.

If they did what difference would it make in Cleveland?

The difference is that we then could bemoan the fact that they let to of a coach who was capable of winning a championship.  None of the string of HCs who have been here since BB can be said to be SB caliber HCs, fair to say?  Even with BB it took him at least 5 years to get another HC gig, but, when he was here, despite the consternation that had come before, the Cleveland fan base had come to see that he had high coaching competence.  it It took him getting lucky to get Brady to become a Championship coach....but without TB he at least can be seen to be a coach who would have his team competitive and challenging for playoffs, if not Championships.   As he had here before the whole "move" debacle.

Yes, I do.  And he can't do squat with what the Harvard Think Tank lets him have.  And when / if his butt gets shown the door at season's end HIS name will be mud just like everyone else that coached under Haslam.

Maybe we should start a coach's jersey, besides the QB jersey that now needs a second row.

Article is a little dated Russ, but for kicks & giggles looked up Urban Meyer's deal at Ohio State. Besides the money, must be nice to have 50 hours of private jet time to fly to Tahiti for some R&R.  https://www.bizjournals.com/columbus/blog/2015/04/urban-meyer-s-new-contract-bigger-bonuses-more.html

Exactly.   We had these same discussions 2 years ago and all the naysayers were saying the same thing, why would anyone come here?  We are going to get some no name...etc etc.   Then they went out and picked up the coach that was the hot candidate that offseason and experts were all saying that he was the guy who would turn it around in Cleveland.  Turns out that looks like a mistake.  Doesn't mean you have to live with it forever or even another 23 games of it.   Make the move in the offseason and get a HC who will buy into the process.

what Shmucking process are you talking about...it could only be Shmuckass slime ball hasshit...that is where the process starts....go ahead and support that process...your a Shmucking idiot...

I guess yall could gather round an sing a tune of "Hes a jolly good fellow"

Cleveland absolutely hated Belichick because he got rid of Bernie Kosar. The fondest memory of Art Modell was the day he fired Bill Belichick. Now Belichick gets a parade down main street and the keys to the city?

No...BB was and is an Arseling.   But that does not mean that we don't recognize him as a capable HC.

We won't stop hearing rumors, but I really don't want another coach. Let's promote AL Saunders to OC, and we can demote Sashi and bring in another GM. Let's give Kizer every opportunity to succeed, and see if he can't improve next year. That being said, I also think that we draft a QB high. Preferably Mayfield or Lamar Jackson.

If Belichick looked at the cast of misfits who coached the Patriots before him, he would have turned around at the state line and gone home. The Browns are due for something good.

This is what you said in case you forgot.  Carroll was 27-21 with the Pats and is a Hall of Fame coach, the other is Bill Parcells
