Which CFL team should we root for?

With the Browns all Fubar, shouldn't we here in Cleveland have some football team to root for?  It is only 50 miles away from the Cleveland shore line to the Canadian shoreline across Lake Erie.  (that is less than the distance from Cleveland to Canton).

What CFL team would be your choice?

Here are your choices. Apparently there are now only 9 teams in that league.

1  Calgary y 17 13 3 1 27 518 326 7-1-0 6-2-1 7-2-0

As for having to pick a team, I would go with Calgary. If they can survive that weather, they deserve to win some football games.

Edmonton is quite a bit further north of Calgary with weather probably worse. Edmonton sits in a wide open plain.  Calgary has some protection from mountains to the west.   I have been to both.  (but not in winter).

Edmonton is not called the Eskimos for nothing.

I went to Calgary in the winter time....once. Never ever again.

Here, actually, is the rest of the CFL schedule.   They only have one week left in the regular season, and their Championship game is played on the Sunday after (American) Thanksgiving.  (Canada celebrated their Thanksgiving the same time we celebrate Columbus Day):

EASTERN SEMI-FINAL

WESTERN SEMI-FINAL

EASTERN FINAL

WESTERN FINAL

105TH GREY CUP

  • SUN NOV 266:00 PM EDT  TBD@TBD

Don't know about that.  You will have to explain it.

Some call it the Lingerie Football League. I've watched some here and there. It may not be great football from one point of view. From another point of view..,Hot bodied babes with skimpy unis playing tackle football. You won't regret looking into it further.

If the "process" continues, the Browns may end up in the CFL.

..... where they'd be lucky to go .500
