This was my concern with Trump all along. Still didn't have any choice in the matter as Hillary Clinton was far worse.

LOL! Trump just tweeted because Nancy Pelosi told him to!

but its all about looks right?

Absolutely if you are a conservative Cruz was the real deal. For me until Trump made his pronouncement that he would be working with Schumer and Pelosi I was hoping for the best and had been happy with Trump until now. My concern is once Trump figures out he can get great media coverage (winning) by cozying up with Schumer and Pelosi  who knows where this romance is going to lead.

Democrats have schooled Trump in the art of politics

The reps in Congress have thumbed their noses at him - he expects them to

DO SOMETHING, and they don't want to. Trump is simply showing them

for being cowards like they are. They are terrified of making the corrupt, vicious

left angry with them. The corrupt deep state is at war with any republican that

stands up for US, the American people, like the CIA trying to kill Jason Bourne to cover

up who they are and what they do, in one of those movies.

I still support my president even though he goes through these upheavals-

whereas the usual cast of characters reveal their true nature in the way they

gauge themselves with what the media or the opposition wants to portray.

Crazy as it sounds, it makes Trump more honest and real.

The Bannon 60 minutes thing tonight I think will shed what loyalty really is.

That's one reason most of us consider you a fool. None of the conservatives on this board were Trump supporters from the outset and none of them have proclaimed him to be the second coming of Ronald Reagan. As a matter of fact there is only one guy  who supported him from the very beginning.  And I haven't seen him here for weeks . BB . I don't think you will find a single one who is ever thought he was nearly conservative enough, just Miles and Miles better than your girl Hillary.

Yeah, Ed went to the paint pretty hard for Trump leading up to the election, and now he's pretty much a ghost here in the Political Forum

And for the record he had very specific reasons for his support none of them or the traditional conservative values. I support almost everything president Trump says he's for now but I've never been a social conservative. I like border control cutting down on illegals merit-based immigration tax reform Etc. Don't care about the wall.

I went conservative for the social issues and later they won me over on fiscal issues as well. The democrats are very much socialists and socialism sounds good in theory but doesn't work in real life. Thatcher nailed the flaw in socialism  when she said "you eventually run out of other people's money".

Look at the snowflakes starting to jump off the maga train. Sure steve, u never lijed the guy.....you never argued any of us here when we said the guys a phony. 🙄

Prior to the gen election ONLY obf was concerned about that point. The others may have preferred rubio or cruz or whatever......but all of u bent over and took it with a smile once trump won the primaries. Stating otherwise now is pathetic but indicative of my general assessment of ur overall character, which others have shared with u numerous times as well.

You're a stooge and you can't back up one fucking word of this shit.

You are free to try to prove me wrong.

Obf and Cal were both supporting the more conservative candidates, and I frankly don't remember who die hard supported during the primary. My personal choice is and has always been Newt Gingrich. Trump was my last choice among the Republicans but compared to Hillary the fucker is George Washington. Good luck finding anywhere I've said different.

gloating over a false narrative. I'm not surprised....

here is the Trump latest? tweet:

"

No deal was made last night on DACA. Massive border security would have to be agreed to in exchange for consent. Would be subject to vote. The WALL, which is already under construction in the form of new renovation of old and existing fences and walls, will continue to be built.

Does anybody really want to throw out good, educated and accomplished young people who have jobs, some serving in the military? Really! They have been in our country for many years through no fault of their own — brought in by parents at young age. Plus BIG border security."

The idea that the wall would be finished in his first six months is just silliness. All of my angst has been the unvetting of an obamao/leftist encouraged tidal wave of poor, uneducated, often criminal illegals into our country. Coward-Piven and ms13 gangs, etc etc etc etc etc. The security that has been put in more and more, is stopping a ton of that garbage, and they are going after criminal illegals/gangs bigly.

When I've thought about the kids who were brought here illegally - it isn't their fault. They are similar to my friend  from India's kids - though he got here legally. He said they are 100% American, and it would probably kill them if they moved back to India where he grew up.

The sad part is, the marxist left's affinity for crude, hate-filled identity politics. So divisive, so damaging. But it  gets the "demoquackic" party base voting in a block for anyone who gets nominated. Too bad.

I'll make you a bet on that wall right now. It will never be completed as a real wall all the way across the US/Mexico border. That is an illusion, not a reality. Bottle of Mexican tequila on that cal. You have 7 1/2 years to go "starting now!".:D

that's a nonsense bet. I never expected a "great wall of china" on our border. At least across the most obvious, easiest

crossings. I'm still thinking a phaser laser stun beam across ten miles would do the trick.. that, in effect, would be

a "wall". I just want illegal immigration stopped. Illegal immigration was all about flooding our Real American voter demographics with

locked in democratic (illiterate, unskilled dependent on welfare, etc) voters
