UPCOMING SCHEDULE September 2017 the hunt for home field

Recommended Posts

AMAZING!!

Sorry I don't check this board too often mjp, but I've been keeping up with the team every day even since before the streak. Looks like the Tribe will be in Houston the week after the Browns are (assuming we both make it to the ALCS).

By the way, you guys are lucky we didn't blow the streak by how much you posted about it! I refused to talk about it until the day we broke it.

Just saw on ESPN SPORTSCENTER if you bet $100 on the Indians at the beginning of the streak and let it ride you'd have  $2.7 million right now......going into tonight.

.......going into tonight. :o

Bauer,  Carrasco,  Kluber coming up?

It wouldn't be the week after...it would be the DAY after.....assuming both the Tribe and the Astros made it that far.  And you may have just blown it by talking about it!!!!  Both teams have to win to get there.

But...making certain assumptions, those being that the Indians take the #1 seed and the Astros take the #2 seed....then you have the following:

The #1 AL seed would play the Wildcard winner on the following dates:  Oct 5/6/8/9/11  (if the series went all 5 games)

Then....The #1 seed (assume Indians) and the #2 seed (assume Astros)  would play the following dates:

10/13 in Cleveland,  10/14 in Cleveland,  10/16 in Houston, 10/17 in Houston, 10/18 in Houston,  10/20 and 10/21 in Cleveland.

2017 manager of the year - Terry Francona, naturally.

Any more?

But, the Astros don't want to go away.   They are still just a game and a half behind the Tribe for best AL record.   And the Dodgers are now back on track and have a substantial lead for best overall record.

Eh, the Indians didn't have home field for the '48 playoff game or World Series either... ;)

And your new avatar makes me think: "Your Goddamn right" every time I see it now...

Well now they only need to play .500 ball to hit 100 wins. Remember the 100-44 and 99-62 (didn't play last make up game) teams? This team is close to those teams with kluber.

They still only have that game and a half on Houston...who is obviously keeping up some pace.

Also, in the wildcard races....in the AL, technically, only two teams have been mathematically eliminated:  White Sox and Tigers.  While in the NL 7 teams have been eliminated.

The best race in Baseball may in fact be for the final WC spot in the NL.   Colorado holds a 1 game lead on  Milwaukee.

And only the AL East and the NL Central division title races are not settled......between the Yankees and Red Sox, and Cubs and Brewers.

The one-game playoff for WC is lame.

Totally unless you're dead on tied, get rid of it! After 162 games really? MLB got this one wrong.

Half of the crowd in Anaheim seemed like Tribe fans.
