calfoxwc
because it isn't in the public interest...no one cares? but if it would ":get" Trump, of course, it would be.... dirty deep state traitors. comey, clapper, etc etc etc etc. http://www.theblaze.com/news/2017/08/29/fbi-rejects-public-request-for-hillary-clinton-files-gives-a-ridiculous-excuse-for-it/
Clevfan4life
The guy trump personally selected is dirty? Diesnt that call into question trumps ability to "hire the best people, no really..the best of the best.....bigly"
calfoxwc
Trump did NOT personally select comey, comey was the head of the fbi under obamao, Trump allowed him to stay on until it was shown comey was a leftwing deep state corrupt hack. and the actual letter was from David M. Hardy, of the records dept. Trump never personally selected hardy, either.

calfoxwc
" Ty Clevenger, an attorney in New York City, filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request in March of 2016 asking for a variety of documents from the FBI and the Justice Department, including correspondence exchanged with Congress about the Clinton email investigation. " http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2017/08/29/fbi-shuts-down-request-for-files-on-hillary-clinton-by-citing-lack-public-interest.html from wikipedia " In September 2013, Comey was appointed Director of the FBI by President Barack Obama.[6] In that capacity, he was responsible for overseeing the FBI's investigation of the Hillary Clinton email controversy. His role in the 2016 U.S. presidential election, particularly with regard to his public communications, was highly controversial.[7] His decisions are viewed by some analysts as having possibly cost Clinton the election.[8][9][10] Comey was dismissed by President Donald Trump on May 9, 2017.[11][12][13]" Therefore, Comey put all this corrupt fraud into place, and Hardy just follows orders. jbluhm86
1) Comey isn't the head of the FBI anymore; Christopher Wray is. 2) Trump built the majority of his campaign around the idea that Clinton was crooked (more than likely true), and has used her political skullduggery to his advantage; it would be safe to assume he wouldn't hesitate to do so again if anything juicy on clinton passed his desk. 3) Wray was appointed by Trump, and Trump is his boss; therefore, we can assume that it'd be highly unlikely he'd be beholden to Hillary Clinton. 4) Since Trump is his boss, he could, if he so desired, request that Wray to release the information in question. 5) The fact that Trump hasn't directed to Wray to release any information on the subject - especially since it'd give him a potentially huge political boon from his base and the conservatives in general - shows that, more than likely, this is one big nothing burger. Westside Steve
Just for the record boys have we lost sight of what the point might be here? Seems like we've descended into accusations inferences about who appointed who and who vetted who. I think the point, correct me if I'm wrong, is that Comey doesn't look like he's on the up-and-up. I thought he was in the bag for the opposition ever since he let Hillary off scot-free for a raft of admitted lies. Anybody disagree with that? If you do what possible reason would there be for carrying her water? WSS
Clevfan4life
Yeah i can disagree since it was comeys letter to congress days before the election that won trump the presidency. Or have u forgotten already that huge juicy solid he floated trump? Obviously he was trying to play some long game and maybe cenent hinself a hallowed pisition in DC where nonone could ever get rid of him because he had shit going on with all sides. I dunno. He obviously gad one agenda prior to the election and another one after. Its entirely feasible the clintons said since u fucked us one day you'll have excercise equipment fall on you as u walk down the street
Westside Steve
Not at all. Fully expecting a Hillary win Comey wrote the letter saying that they were going to investigate the emails which had the Republicans dancing in the streets. Yes it looked bad for Hillary now! Except there was no huge investigation there was a quick glance after which he announced to the world she's clean as a whistle' the accusations are baseless! And the momentum shifted to the Democrats. I think he was expecting a sweet Payback. Unfortunately when the Wicked Witch of the West Wing had a house dropped on her with the words Trump Tower on the roof he was out in the cold. And turned his attention on fucking with the new president. WSS

Comey sat on it, refused any action on it for months. That is the point. Comey's action delayed any action til after the election, and while he was still head of the FBI. THEN, the point was made that higgardly was no longer in gov, no longer in the public eye, and that interest and benefit has passed.
