So where do we stand?

QB = ???  (we've got to pray to the football Gods that Kizer is 'the chosen' one....everything revolves around the QB)

We have the left tackle (but it's time to start preparing for his replacement)...The primary edge rusher is Myles...and we're trying to trade our supposed primary corner.

I'm hoping we're set at nose tackle but #1 WR = ??

The Ghoul would agree with the placement of the interior fat-asses...of which we spent a lot of money on a couple of 'em.

We've gotta get the top of the pyramid right!       -- as Joe Banner correctly stated, "It's pass and rush the passer" --

Perhaps the thing to do is to say put each of the players that we have starting on a 1-5 scale in terms of comparative talent. E.g:

QB...right now we are lucky to have a rating of 1 or 2

LT...likely have a 5 in JT.  We MAY have a 5 in Garrett at edge rusher....but honestly, right now , with him being a rookie we can't give more than a 2-3.

Primary corner, at this point is a 2 imo.

#1 WR...is a 1 or 2.

etc. etc.

Interesting that it's a 3-4 pyramid... for a 4-3 not sure a 0/1-tech DT rises to the 3rd level, but I am sure the 3-tech doesn't fall as far as the bottom... MLB rises as well.

Regardless of the scheme I'd put FS at the top of my 2ndary pecking order... even above "Primary corner".

And then there's the lumping of all "interior Linemen" together in the bottom tier...

What's the source of this pyramid?

This is a fucked up analogy. It mirrors the food pyramid and Maslows Heirarchy of Needs, except in those models the shit at the bottom is the important stuff, the foundation if you will, and at the top is the not so important stuff.

Stuff like air, whole grain foods, vegetables, and not getting shot at is at the bottom of those models, and at the top is sugary and fatty foods and self actualization, whatever the hell that is.

Quarterback, left tackle, and primary cornerback are what should be on the bottom here to show they are the foundation upon which you build upon. Something like coffin corner specialist punter should be at the top.

Explains the 3-4 slant...

It's interesting... even if it is inconsistent with other pyramid constructions.

Or it would have been, but for the buzzkills...
