Fan Allegedly Threatened Ovechkin On Message Board PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― Washington Capitals star Alexander Ovechkin is the player that Penguins fans love to hate, but State police say that one fan from Chambersburg, Pa., has taken that way too far and is now in trouble with the law. The fan posted the following message on the Penguins' official message board: "I'm going to kill Ovechkin. I don't care if I go to jail." And the Washington Capital's security took the threat very seriously, contacting Pittsburgh Police who were able to trace the message back to a Chambersburg teenager. State police in Chambersburg told KDKA's Andy Sheehan they've interviewed the teenager and confiscated the computer. State police investigators will be downloading the hard drive on that computer and are in contact with the district attorney to determine what charges will be filed. Sports teams do not publicize death threats but KDKA's Andy Sheehan has been told both the Capitals and NHL security want to make an example of the young man that such acts will not be tolerated. via here.
