Stallworth, Vickers out; Smith, Adams in

The Browns will play without offensive starters Donte' Stallworth and Lawrence Vickers today, but the defense will be at full strength for the first time this season.

 

Syndric Steptoe will start in place of Stallworth, and Charles Ali is set to make his first NFL start in place of Vickers.

 

Shaun Smith and Mike Adams return from injury for the defense, which also has starters Corey Williams and Sean Jones set to play after being listed as questionable during the week.

 

Stallworth is out after re-aggravating the quad injury that caused him to miss the first four games including the first meeting with the Ravens. Vickers was unable to practice this week after injuring his ankle last week in Jacksonville.

 

The Browns' other inactives are Beau Bell, Martin Rucker, Scott Young, Hamza Abdullah and third quarterback Ken Dorsey.

Thanks Al, I was just getting ready to post this. Ali doesn't hurt us much, although Vickers has been used more of late, but this Stallworth BS is beyond old.

 

The defense will need to win this game today IMO.

I cannot imagine Lister Jr not answering the bell this coming week against Davidson because they hit hard...and he is beat and bruised this morning....man this is incredible

I am not happy about the Stallworth absence but I am excited to see Steptoe get some action. He could turn out to be a pretty good find and RAC is not known for giving youngsters a chance unless he has no choice.
