We don't know who exactly is going to be released, so there's no reason to assume that Simms is the only quality vet available. Besides, Simms will be available until, I dunno, sometime in August (assuming somebody's backup gets hurt in the preseason), so let's just see how it shakes out before making any snap decisions.
