Since we only have one pick after the 4th Round, this would basically be our draft:

  • Round 1: Aaron Curry, LB, Wake Forest

  • Round 2: Shonn Greene, RB, Iowa

  • Round 4: Brandon Williams, DE-OLB, Texas Tech
And if we get a 3rd from Detroit or NYJ for DA, we could end up with one of these guys:

  • Kraig Urbik, RG-RT, Wisconsin

  • Scott McKillop, LB, Pitt

Just read that there are rumors that Greene ballooned up to 300 lbs. during the year he was academically ineligible to play. He says he topped out at 249 lbs.; the truth is probably somewhere in between.

BTW, Brandon Williams declared as a junior after leading the Big 12 in sacks with 13. He's 6'5" and 252 and runs in the 4.7 range. He was told he could be a third or fourth round pick.

Here's a scouting report on Williams:

Positives: Lanky, athletic frame with room for at least an additional 15-20 pounds of added mass. ... Good initial quickness off the snap. ... Can pressure the edge immediately with his burst and has the balance and flexibility to get under the tackle and close. ... Has a late short burst to close. ... Good straight-line speed.

Negatives: Essentially a one-trick pony at this time because he lacks the bulk and strength required to be dependable against the run in the NFL from the traditional defensive end position. ... Lacks the balance and flexible hips to change direction fluidly and project as a linebacker. ... Relies on his long arms and speed to trip up ballcarriers too often. ... Is not a strong tackler and opponents break his arm tackles.

He did some nice things in the Cotton Bowl, notching 2 sacks, one against Michael Oher. He also beat Oher with a nice spin move that resulted in a QB hit.

But he wasn't nearly as impressive when I saw him earlier in the year against Oklahoma. Unlike Orakpo, who used his speed to destroy Phil Loadholt, Williams wasn't able to get any pressure on Bradford. In fact, it seemed like Tech's coaching staff moved Williams over to LE to get him away from Loadholt.

nfldraftscout compares Williams to Mark Anderson. In those two games, I saw both the good Mark Anderson and the bad Mark Anderson. Not sure which one we'd be getting if we took him in Round 4.
