School Children Complain Of “Obama Worship” During Lessons

Several disturbing stories have come to our attention over the past weeks and days that further highlight how sections of the American population have elevated Barack Obama to a dangerously inflated “messianic” status normally only associated with Royalty or totalitarian leaders.

What makes the following accounts so much more insidious, however, is that they all involve children.

Perhaps the most insidious is to be found on the Tree of Liberty forum where a concerned parent from Las Vegas reveals that his 1st grader son has complained of having to pledge allegiance every day at school to a huge projected image of the new president.

The post reads:

My son, who is in 1st grade, came home yesterday saying that he didn’t want to go back to school anymore. So I asked him why? He said that during the Pledge of Allegiance the teacher put up a large image of Obama next to the flag. I asked him if he was sure of this and I suggested to him that maybe the teacher just put up an 8×10 photo of the president. He said, “No, it is a large picture of Obama and when we are done Ms. **** turns off the image.” I also asked if they did this for Bush last year? He again said, “No.” This was my sons first day back to school since before Christmas, he was on a 5 week track break.

My wife volunteers a couple of days each week with helping out with my sons teacher doing various duties. She said that she would come in early this morning to see what was going on. She just got back and reported that this was true and then some. She said she waited out in the pod area and could see inside 3 of the 5 class rooms in this section of school. She said that when the kids stand each teacher flips on the classroom overhead and a full body image of Obama, with six U.S. flags behind him, comes up about 4 feet away from the flag that hangs on the wall. She said that the image has Obama staring straight at you with no facial expressions, just a serious look. I asked my wife if Obama had his hand over his heart? She said that she was so taken aback by this that she didn’t see it. What is worse is she said that all of the kids in each class faced Obama instead of the flag that hangs in the corner.

I live in Toledo, Ohio & my 3 kids (16, 13 &10) had to watch the inauguration & ceremony in our Toledo Public Schools. My 13 year old daughter is supposed to write a letter to President Obama & my 10 year old is supposed to write 5 facts & 5 opinions on President Obama. what do i tell them so i dont get CSB called on me?

What the heck is going on?

The youth brigades of Nazi Germany and the former Soviet Union are obviously an extreme form of this kind of blind indoctrination, however they were more like scout organizations, their doctrines were never openly instituted in schools!

Well, this is -disturbing-.

But liberal activists have gotten into our school system for years.

They hated our country because of Bush.

And, criticism of Bush has been documented in schools/colleges.

Now, they are -emotionally- inversing their outlooks with glee -

they love our country now, because of Obama, because "they" won

the election, and they are celebrating.

To change to a socialist state, they always start influencing kids.

Here in Ohio, we just heard this morning that the DEM gov wants year 'round

schooling for kindergarteners.

You grab those kids and teach them what YOU want... and lessen more and more

the teachings of "those" parents...

and school systems that have levies failing again and again... wonder why?

Which, is also a part of their plan - take school levy funding for schools out

of the hands of parents.

Then, parents will have absolutely no control.

Oh yeah, if parents take their kids out of that year around environment?

They will be taxed more.

That's what socialist governments, and liberal Dems do - they control by money.

Not good the next few years. There is going to be serious pushback.

Our public schools have become a joke. NC ranks as one of the worst.

There are to many social agenda's being pushed on the students, whatever happened to studying good ole' math englsih history and etc.

Whats next will little billie have to report to his teacher how his parents feel about the government?

Yeah, this looks exactly like Nazi Germany to me.

You guys are too much. I think we should all get our news from disgruntled moms on message boards.

Please address the substance of the post, mz the pussy.

There's some substance? I guess I'm missing it?

This looks to me, more than anything, like a parent getting her child way too involved in her own politics, then spouting off about it on some message board. When I was a little kid, Reagan was all over my classrooms IIRC.

I think watching/discussing/studying the inauguration is perfectly legitimate. It's an amazing event, regardless of who is being inaugurated. It really displays the best of our system of government and reminds us all that we are incredibly fortunate to live in this country.

This year's inauguration was quite literally a first and to NOT teach students about why it's so important on so many levels would make little sense.

All that being said, I am disturbed by the notion of pledging allegiance to ANY president's image. Besides the obvious Orwellian overtones of Big Brother watching over the little ones, it's just un-American to celebrate the man over the country, especially during something that's ostensibly about pledging allegiance to the flag that represents the best of the country. Our country is about unity based in common cause, "E Pluribus Unum" and all that, not celebrating personality over substance. Ironically, I think Obama would be the first to agree with me on that and say that this type of thing is inappropriate.

In a separate but related point, I also am opposed to the pledge itself, for its similarly creepy Orwellian tones, but that's another thread for another day...

You make some good points, teachers should not be so fanatical that they impose there fandom upon children. Obama is only a man just as Bush (W) is.

Odd, I don't recall any school children being instructed to sing

a "Hail to Bush" song...

No "Bush gonna save us" lyrics...

Nope. Always the kneejerk attempts at moral equivalency.

No workee.

Cult of Obama indoctrination in PRESCHOOL!

No workee, eh, Cal. Give me a break. I guess the Religious Right sees only what it wants to see as well. Anyone who worships or deifies a politician is an idiot.

Pitiful mz the pussy. That isn't a school. That's a eh... Christian church gathering? I reject that too, the teaching of kids

to group idolize people.

But in a public school setting, that is atrocious. Parents KNOW when their kids are in "Jesus Camp".

But parents HAVE to send their kids to public schools by law, unless they are home schooled or go to a

charter school.

The NEA and all the state orgs of the teachers unions across the country, are sold out to the Dem party.

And, liberals are all too often walked through the doors of college classes with approval, while conservatives

have to parrot the all too common liberal hate verbage, or their grades suffer, and they are weeded out if at

all possible.

Been there myself, though that was a long time ago now...

but there are plenty of that still happening.

That may be the funniest/most paranoid thing I have read in a long, long while.

Damn all of that "liberal hate verbage" I encountered in my Psych, Chem, Bio, Physics, Art History, Lit, Calculus, Marketing, Advertising, Finance and Accounting coursework. It was almost enough to make me wanna drop out!

Thanks for the informative and disturbing post T. I have seen this type of behavior from many liberals. Idolizing. Worship. It's scary. I've never seen anything like it. Just keep passing on this quality information and we will keep spreading the word. The truth shall prevail.

I wish I was encountering some liberal hate verbage in my organic chemistry class right about now. <-"ph34r" is what comes up for this emoticon - anybody know what that means?

Well, I'm using it to signify that o-chem would be hard, even for a ninja.

I took that shit, too. Even some Rachel Maddow trash would have improved it. :)

ph34r = "to fear" but ninja works.

So, mz the pussy, you were a Republican, who disagreed with your leftist politcally oriented profs?

Or, you were obviously? always a flaming liberal, and you had no problem at all.

I think the latter, and you don't have a clue about what I said and how often it happens...

No, jackass, we discussed Chemistry in Chemistry class and Psych in Psych class. Not politics.

If you take a f-ing politics class, expect political discussion.

jackass yourself.

I can give you plenty of examples, some happened to me.

A math class taught by an Iranian assistant prof - running down our country in the worst way, calling us

satans... when I stood up and said that was offensive and I objected, she said I just

flunked our midterm, which we hadn't had yet.

Well, with plenty of witnesses, the whole class was behind me, she ended up walking out, and

was gone, never to be in charge of our class again.

Argumentation class - I was a speech major/English minor before I left and joined the Air Force, got a D- on an outstanding

paper - the Dean evaled it without the grade, and gave it at least a B+, even if he were trying to be an (*(*&^..

The offending "prof" was an anti-war, anti-America activist. I wrote a defense of our military folks, and our country, not

of the Vietnam War. When I met him at his office, he rambled on about me being an affront to his subculture, and his

grade did ignore the merits of my paper, but he felt he needed to make a statement against America, and would not change

his grade.

Of course, this was at Kent State eh... many, many years ago. I don't imagine you were there.

But please, tell me a lot of crap about May 4th. I was there that day.

And I still hear about students having this same kind of problem.

jackass yourself.

I'm sure your English prof at a state school was an "Anti-America Activist."

Anyway, your choice of topic hardly seemed like a smart idea. Did you write a paper on the merits of slavery for your black English prof, too?

You don't like the prof, drop the course. Simple.
