THE BROWNS BOARD

Hall Of Fame Dynasty Data

From my perusal of the Hall of Fame website for my trivia and other threads I decided to also check to see which Dynasty had the most Hall of Famers. So I am putting that info down here.

For purposes of this tabulation however I am excluding owners. Some people have been owners for 50 years or more, so I wanted this to specifically deal with just the era of the dynasty. Some coaches I know have lasted longer but I did want them in here. So, here is the list:

1960s Packers. 11 Hall of Famers:

Vince Lombardi

Herb Adderly

Willie Davis

Forrest Gregg

Paul Hornung

Henry Jordan

Ray Nitschke

Jim Ringo

Bart Starr (Ringo Starr!!)

Jim Taylor

Willie Wood

(also note from the 1960s Packers that Jerry Kramer...a 10 time finalist is not in, and that LB David Robinson is a Senior nominee this year)

1970s Steelers: 10 members

Mel Bount

Terry Bradshaw

Joe Greene

Jack Ham

Franco Harris

Jack Lambert

Chuck Noll

John Stallworth

Lynn Swann

Mike Webster

40s/50s Browns: 9 members

Paul Brown

Len Ford

Frank Gatski

Otto Graham

Lou Groza

Dante Lavelli

Mike McCormack

Marion Motley

Bill Willis

1960s/70s Raiders: 9 members

Fred Biletnikoff

George Blanda

Willie Brown

Dave Caspar

Ted Hendricks

John Madden

Jim Otto

Art Shell

Gene Upshaw

(note: if I include Al Davis who coached for a short while they would have 10)

1970s Cowboys: 8 members

Tony Dorsett

Bob Hayes

Tom Landry

Bob Lilly

Mel Renfro

Roger Staubach

Randy White

Rayfield Wright

1950s/60 Colts: 7 members

Weeb Ewbank

Ray Berry

Art Donovan

Gino Marchetti

Lenny Moore

Jim Parker

John Unitas

1970s Dolphins: 7 members

Nick Buonticonti

Larry Csonka

Bob Griese

Jim Langer

Larry Little

Don Shula

Paul Warfield

These are the ones with 7 or more members (though to be honest, I didn't go back to like the 30s Packers/Giants etc.)

I note a bit of an oddity: the 1990s Bills, who lost all the Super Bowls, have more Hall of Famers (and may get another if Andre Reed makes it) than the 1990s Cowboys that beat them and won 3 of 4 SBs.

Those Cowboys do have "the tripplets" with Aikman, Smith, and Irvin in, (and they had Deion Sanders for a few years) but that is it. Though they could get Larry Allen in.

No, you are not. That is the whole point of it being a quiz.

Did you cheat on your tests in school? Do you not think the teacher used the course book to make up her/his quizzes.

This trivia is supposed to be an honorable test of your knowledge. And fun for everyone. If you just look up the fucking answers then that defeats the purpose of it.

YOU are welcome to look stuff up and propound your own trivia quizzes. And I will try to anwer them to the best of my ability....from the store of knowledge in my head, not by looking things up.

I readily acknowledge that I look stuff up to form these trivia quizzes. I certainly have at times drawn many questions from my own memory...but
