JoeSixPat
I was discussing various head coach and GM pairings with someone recently... noting how vital it is to the success of a team and that's why its so important that the Browns get Kokinis. My friend mentioned that Mangini didn't have any history with Tannenbaum and that's why they didn't work as a team (though he asserted that Mangini didn't want Favre either and I tactfully reminded him that Mangini not only wanted him but named his son... but I digress) Anyways, I said I was pretty sure that Mangini and Tannenbaum had both been with the Browns organization under Belichick, presumably coming up the ranks together, learning various defensive and offensive schemes and therefore presumably would have/should have been on the same page in NYC. Can anyone confirm whether Tannenbaum was with the Browns at the same time Mangini was here before and what he did? (Or was this in Mangini's ballboy, PR Assistant stage and therefore totally irrelevant?)
YtownBrownsBacker
Yes, they were together for a few years with the Browns under Belichick. I believe Kokinis, Pioli, Savage and Saban were all here at that time also.
