I Think Hillis Is Gone

Recommended Posts

This guy hit the nail on the head. Hillis was the lone golden corn kernel in the turd that was the Browns last year. No one expected it because, quite honestly, what team takes the Browns' offense seriously?

You are all so quick to blame Coach Shurmur, but you have to realize he wants to become a pass-first offense with an inaccurate QB and a WR corps that has very little talent.

We're in year one of rebuilding (yes, year one) and, if you truly love this team, you'll have to be patient. This isn't going to happen overnight. Holmgren and Heckert have solid enough credentials for us to trust whatever it is they do with this team.

How old are you? I have been patient since I was 12 years old. I will be 60 in January. Don't f88king tell us to be patient.

I am all in with H&H and their credentials. But, the 49ers are 5-1 and looking tremendous after having the same record as the Browns last year. I see no reason that the Browns should not have had a similar turnaround under their new coach..

Hillis-iz-boos wants the FO to be honest about what is going on? Sniff, sniff....... boo hoo..........

For the love of naked negroes I posted what was going on with Hillis back in week one. What The FkUCK about this does your brick-thick head fail to understand?

1) Hillis is an average Athletic talent.

i) Rich and I repeatedly told you the reason he had a good year last year was because NOBODY planned their defense to account for the run when getting ready for the Browns. He simply caught teams with their pants down.

3) Rich and I likewise told you ALL, WAY ahead of time, that in 2011 Hillis would be stuffed because he is EASY to be stuffed. Why? Because he is slow and has no side-to-side stuff....... so he gets stuffed.

Now, based on his lucky, never-to-happen again 2010 season, Hillis is convinced that he deserves AP money. As fkucking dumb as Homgren is, he isn't that fkucking dumb.

If Hillis can accept his roll as a #3 quality back on a team, then YES, there is a place for him. However, he isn't a guy that is going to have 150 yard days; he isn't a guy who is going to carry the ball 20+ times in a game; AND MOST IMPORTANTLY............. he isn't a guy who causes fear in opposing defenses.

If he will play for $650K plus incentives, then sign him, If not? His skill is not much harder to come by than a fatass OL.

Hillis is an average player. Get over it, and PLEASE get that idiotic suck-up memo to HIllis off the Home Page. Good grief, how sad!

How many times are you going to say "for the love of naked negroes" before someone points out how stupid, gay, and racist it sounds?

Maybe he is none of that. I suspect he pays a fair price for the love of naked negroes....whom I will assume are naked female negroes:

WHo in the name of Ebekeneezer is going to give something "valuable" for a shit player like Hillis?

Maybe a 3d rounder? I think a 4th at best.

A 3rd or 4th round pick can be valuable if you know how to use them.

You can't run the ball, if you don't stretch the field. Crimeny, Anderson is starting to be appealing over McCoy, at least DA could throw it more than 20 yards without having to stamp Goodyear on the side of it.

Seriously, were hating on Hillis, yet we our game plans have been horrible. And if you guys don't see talent in MoMass, Little, Cribbs and even Robiskie, i'm not sure what talent is then... Right... We have seen those guys go up and make catches, proplem is, it takes two to play catch. If we have QB that is afraid to throw the ball, guess what is going to happen, dump passes every friggin time... I just watched the Fastest 3 minutes and watched the game winning pass from Tom Brady to some guy in the end zone. This some guy, wasn't some big first round pick that I recall, or wasn't some big time off season free agent signing.. But Brady had the balls to rip one in there on a guy who WAS covered and threw it where ONLY the WR could catch it. I don't believe at this time, that McCoy has the arm or the confidence to do that. Plus, I don't think the guy has heigth needed to see over the line...

Granted we need a better OL as well. Brady has what appears to be Years to throw the ball at times, I could be a mediocre QB with OL. Let's look at this thing as a whole and not just Hillis. We have some glaring issues and it doesn't start with Hillis. Hillis could be a great back used in the right way.. But we don't have OL creating holes and we don't spread the D and we don't go deep keeping D's honest. It really is that simple guys.
