THE BROWNS BOARD

How do you stop a balanced offense like the Falcons?

You are what your record says you are.

At the end of the year when ATL is at double digit wins, nobody will go back and say "Oh, you can't give them the #2, 3, or 4 seed in the NFC. They only beat such and such by 3 pts."

They will just give us the seed we deserve.

For the same note, you can't give "moral wins" to the Browns because your losses were by 7 pts or less. We will come in to Cleveland, run the ball, defend the run and come out with a 7point victory.

Perhaps, but if you are of such fatidical fulfillment why don't you go to Vegas?

It's been 4 weeks, don't crown yourselves just yet. Your season can fall apart just as fast as we can turn ours around. That's why the games are played each week.

We aren't giving ourselves "moral wins". Every fan here knows were 1 - 3 but we could very easily be 3 - 1 or even 4 - 0 right now. It's just the same as the fact that your team could easily be 2 - 2 right now if Nate Clements could hold onto a football. Call it "moral wins", call it wishful thinking, call it whatever you want but the Browns are a lot better than what you and some of your fans are giving them credit for.

I wouldn't be so quick to trash talk either if I were you.

Box up Roddy and Gonzo,

Trust in the line to keep Turner under control.

Play Harry Douglas vs. Eric wright on the other side.

Jenkins is coming back this week. Coach Smith stated he could have played last week (he was limited in practice) but was held out. Which means Douglas will go to his natural position - the slot. Jenkins is no Roddy. But he is faster than Roddy and Taller. Also Jenkins is the best blocking WR on the team.

I am looking forward to this game. Two of my favorite teams.

FALCON FANS PLEASE RESPECT THIS FORUM!

For some reason, Ryan did not check into the game until the 4th quarter. Remember, this is the Falcons who ran off a 19-play drive against the saints.

who Cares about the saints I love when people say we did this and that against a certain It doesnt matter at all thats why they Play the Games we are gonna Bring the house on those Dirty south Ratbirds and if you think Ryan got shook up last week wait till sunday Buddy

When the Falcons fans first appeared on the board a few days ago they were very respectful, and then they started with telling us how we don't stand a chance against every single player on their roster. I'm sorry but what the hell do you expect, for us to agree with everything you say and have no faith in our Cleveland Browns? We gotta little word called Believeland and it aint goin no where just because of a couple of dirty birds trying to talk their team up.

AMEN WAIT TILL THEY SEE THE ryan Blitzing defense There feathers will be coming off them at the seams LOL

The Falcons offense is no better truly than most of the offenses the Browns have played thus far. They have faced veteran QBs who are considered the equal or better than Matt Ryan in Cassel, Flacco and Palmer. They have faced RBs like Ray Rice and Cedric Benson who are considered the equivalent of the Falcons RBs. They have faced receivers better than any the Falcons have. The Browns defense got burned big time by Anquon Boldin, and T.O. had a big day against them. Do the Falcons have a WR the equivalent of those two? No.

Could the Falcons burn them? Sure. At some point any NFL team can burn any other NFL team. Is it likely the Falcons will totally scorch the Browns defense? No way.

This game will be like every other Browns game this year: close to the vest, low scoring, and close at the end. Which team can pull things off and win may be totally up to serendipity and who executes best. If not for a couple of pass interceptions for TD the Browns could be 3-1. But, they did make those mistakes, and in the end it will probably be the mistakes and turnovers that decide this game

.

If you look over the last 3 years White has more yards, more receptions, and tied in TDs. And White has a big advantage in ypc. White is better receiver. Boldin is more physical.

Your fans have posted at least 3 or 4 topics on this board boasting on how we won't stop you. You seem very confident yourself.

We aren't the same old Browns guys. ;)

I haven`t posted anything of the sort.If anything speaking for myself the way SF played us and NO,PITT we are very beatable as is any team in the NFL.The OP shouldn`t have been so boastful...lol.That will bite you in the butt in the NFL.I am very scared for this game and know we are facing a good Browns team.

I will also say that after looking at some of the stats and some of the debates here that I may have undervalued Roddy White. He may indeed be closer in capability to Anquon Boldin than I originally thought. He is just not a guy I have heard or seen that much about. So, OK, the Browns indeed need to try to contain this guy.

Fair enough?

I think some of you are sleeping on Roddy.... I like Boldin and heck we tried to trade for Boldin so he could be our #2 WR (when the cards were trading him)

But i would take Roddy over Boldin in a second... Roddy is not as physical as a WR as Boldin but Roddy plays physical.. The thing that makes Roddy a special WR is that he has everything... Dunta Robinson (former texans) says it all the time.. Roddy remind him so much of Andre Johnson

Hey everyone, A Falcon fan here.

Was browsing your forums and had to join the conversation.

They have faced veteran QBs who are considered the equal or better than Matt Ryan in Cassel, Flacco and Palmer. could be 3-1. But, they did make those mistakes, and in the end it will probably be the mistakes and turnovers that decide this game.

I can not argue against Flacco, or Palmer but I am really in the dark on Cassel. He must have really improved since last year and the preseason. I just assumed KC winning just luck from the football not being round. Has he gotton better against the blitz and readign defenses? Haven't had a chance to watch him this year and I never trust stats from the first four games. Including ours or yours.

Any knowledge on his skill improving would be nice got two buddies who are big KC fans and don't wanna be unarmed this Halloween.

I will also say that after looking at some of the stats and some of the debates here that I may have undervalued Roddy White. Don't feel bad, you go to most teams boards in the NFC south and they don't have much love for white ethier. Nothing wrong with that people watch their teams and what evers on other times. Trust me he is pretty damn solid and most likely sneaking in the top 5 category.

peyton hillis does this thing where he beats up little people and i cant foresee any team stopping him running behind steinbach, mack and thomas.....especially not the falcons

And hell is frozen over, I am agreeing with a Saints fan ("Married to one as well, talking about a glutten for punishment") the Falcons' defense if very fast, really fast. But we are not physical, we have a defensive line that is extremily undersized. The punishing back like you guys have scares the krap out of me.

Your team has a great chance of winning this game, it really comes down I think to how long we keep you off the field. We can't take Hillis very long. You can easily shut down our running game as long as you keep Matt on his rear. If Matt is hot though, we most likley get the W. So far this season he has been streaky, but thats expected from most young QB's.

Keep him rattled and give us a taste of our own medicine with your running game and we will have a long day.

Good luck with your health and hopefully we come out with a W.
