Still don't know what the love is/was for Ngakoue -- he's a younger Adrian Clayborn.. will get you a couple sacks in garbage time but defends the run less than Dunlap. If that link is TLDR : Ngakoue's run D grade this season is 38.2. That's no bueno. If you get pissed watching Vernon, you simply aren't watching Vernon against the run. Can't simply assume "pass rush" is the only quality of a player. And as if all that wasn't enough.. Vernon had the ab injury earlier this season which caused him to have a groin last game. This affects his explosiveness. We already have on the roster the best replacement for Vernon we'd find in a trade/FA.. Porter Gustin.. and I think we can all agree he's not as good.

I'll take that bait -- Eric Reid declined an offer yesterday to join washington's practice squad. He's FA by choice not because of politics. If it was political, can't think of a bigger finger than to play in Washington. And Panthers of all people cut Reid this offseason... because he's no better than Sendejo. PFF 2019 Reid = 46. Sendejo this year = 45. This is not unlike thinking to yourself that old washed-up Carlos Dunlap is somehow better in 2020 than Olivier Vernon.. because you're having visions of sugarplums and 2015 Carlos Dunlap. Unfortunately, Father Time always wins - and Dunlap is this year a more expensive version of Adrian Clayborn. Dunlap is not a starter in Cincinnati this season.. he's worse against the run for the Bengals DL position group than one of their UDFA rookies. Pretty sure nobody had me with that take... You don't trade for someone else's garbage player.. because the reason they're available is their original team doesn't want them. Wanting to win now is great -- trading for a player who is no better than the one you want to put on the bench simply decreases your resources [draft picks] and doesn't in any way address the problem.

Don't forget this stat sheet - sortable updated list of pressures/hurries/knockdowns. In a shocking twist, Richardson is our second-most productive DL. Vernon has the same number of pressures and knockdowns, one more hurry, and one less sack than Dunlap. Links go to PFF.. Vernon's 2 points higher. Summary: Browns shouldn't trade Olivier Vernon.. because Dunlap disappoints the Bengals by not being able to stop the run as well as the UDFA they started in his place even before they traded him.

Healthy Hunt averages 5 a carry behind this line. Chubb too.

First it was OL are a dime a dozen when we had a terrible OL next to JT, now it's receivers who are a dime a dozen? All this time I've been told WR are PLAYMAKRZ.. now because ours got injured, the position is meaningless?

    OBJ has torn ACL

Exactly - OBJ was it, period. DPJ does inspire fear - in himself that he'll drop whatever is thrown to him. There's no FA out there; Dez was recruited by Ravens for the last 3 years. Nobody can. Everyone else is a possession receiver. KhaDarel Hodge [returns to practice tomorrow] may have a top gear but takes 20 yards to get there; JoJo Natson is quick but not fast.

I'll never understand [or accept] why some people demonstrate zero capacity to understand this. Anyone who's ever played a team sport with top athletes knows they sometimes have these things happen. The two guys on my team I'd say took the rest of a scrimmage off every 6-8 weeks or thereabouts.. they'd think someone was guarding them too closely, took too much of an injury risk when laying out to make a play, etc. Not every star is Barry Sanders - but that doesn't diminish in any way their playmaking... or [and stay with me here] their ability to ask and receive forgiveness from the rest of the team for their foibles. You know, just like all relationships between humans. I'd bet OBJ has been taking a few practice plays off every 5-7 weeks because he got pissed at Ward. Sports are VERY emotional.. pulling out your emotions is the entire goal of a pregame speech. There is no such passion without giving people a certain amount of rope. This understanding and forgiveness is built in the offseason doing team cardio at 7p [in my case, 11p] on offseason Sundays. Yes, the Giants GM "set a policy" - and the results of that policy are trash because he's "led" his team all the way to 1 win by 1 point after how many years. So we do have dueling policies.. but not a character defect. If anything, the character defect is held by Gettleman because he'd rather have an inflexible policy than wins..

Your agenda is asserting your moral superiority - with the side bonus of getting people to fear OBJ. Outcomes are immaterial - you just want to show everyone how good you are through random insults directed at some athlete you'll never meet. In both the articles you posted - "Beckham was loved by most of his teammates. He was known to be an incredibly hard worker." That is.. the entire point. Looks like the Giants ran their WR room without establishing consensus, which is always going to lead to unnamed assertions and "leaks" when anyone thinks things could be done differently. As to the rest.. that's called life, and nothing you shouldn't expect with an athlete. Giants are reacting to Insta/FB posts in the same way they'd react to paparazzi photos from decades ago, which is.. wildly incorrect. And.. Even if everything in those links was 100% true [which it's not].. that has ZERO connection to the assertion you made and I responded to. Those links do not mention let alone describe OBJ's personality. Your post is pure gossip.

There's not a doubt in my mind that your post is pure gossip. OBJ is probably a nice guy who's actually easy to get to know.. if your purpose is something other than publically smearing him. Colin Cowturd will never see that side of him... because Colin's entire objective is to insult everyone on the Browns. But hey, if disconnecting from reality is your goal, enjoy your psychotic break!

100% false. Show your proof or it didn't exist. Hint: Lies from AM talk radio aren't proof. For the 4216th time, OBJ is a model teammate. "Those are the guys you want on your team."

Bungles have the 4th worst passD. Browns have the second worst pass D in the league. Calling Sendejo a "professional athlete" is pushing it. I'm sure Bungles have a couple of those too. Is Dunlap available for the cost of a 3-hour Lyft ride north? OTOH: Perhaps Mayfield in the shotgun is worth continuing.. The square peg goes in the square hole..
