  1. That is always a solid prediction when Berry is involved.
  2. It's funny, growing up most of us would never think we would see a professional sports team in Vegas. In three or four years, we will have a Las Vegas football, hockey and baseball team. Still not sure how they are going to shoehorn a domed stadium for the A's in Lost Wages on a 9 acre plot of land.
  3. Today is the Guardians last game ever vs the Oakland Athletics, per se. The A's will play the next three or four years in Sacramento. Not sure if they will still be known as the Oakland A's during those years?
  4. You think they would pass on a LT because Wills is on the roster? Isn't he on the last season of his rookie contract? And Conklin should retire. Guy can't stay healthy enough to play into October. Jones is the only Tackle on the roster worth building around long-term.
  5. It definitely is a different game now. Kind of funny to go back to the "old days" and look at stats of the good quarterbacks... A top QB pre-1980s might complete 52-55% of their passes and throw slightly more touchdowns than interceptions. Now, QBs routinely complete 60%+ of their passes with a 3 to 1 touchdown to interception ratio - or better...
  6. I'm so excited, I just can't hide it, no no no no no. Thursday night, hurry up!
  7. Helluva start to the season... and we have some potential good bats coming to Cleveland in the future with 1B Kyle Manzardo and OF Chase DeLauter. Bad news is it appears Tristan McKenzie's throwing elbow is a ticking time bomb.
  8. Nelsen was with the Browns between 1968-1972. Blanton Collier was his head coach for Nelsen's first three seasons in Cleveland.
  9. When I think of "classic Browns", I think of Jim Brown, Otto Graham, Dante Lavelli, Lou Groza, Bill Willis, etc. None of them wore the 1970s invention of mediocre Browns teams and the white facemasks (thanks Art for both). The uniform nerd in me hates the white facemasks. 🤣 Oh well.
  10. Wasn't Antonio Gates another free agent out of Kent State?
  11. You don't give two shits about the Browns, yet you are a member of a Browns message board. 🤣 All that time you've spent with the Trump flakes on the Poliboard has turned you into one of them. "Oh this is just a witch hunt the NCAA has it out for my beloved Wolverines!"
  12. Apparently it is driving many members of that sinking ship to drink.
  13. And with the transfer portal opening today, news has come down that TTUN will receive three years probation for Covid-era infractions, and five coaches involved will get one year show causes. This is just the appetizer of what is to come this year regarding the football program of Ann Arbor. Just the tip... of the iceberg. This has nothing to do with Harbaugh lying to and refusing to cooperate with the NCAA... definitely has nothing to do with Connor Stalions, hacked computers, etc that is the main course of this juicy story.
  14. Honestly, I don't know... But generally between Guardians, Cavs and Browns games, plus concerts at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse, and Playhouse Square, downtown seems pretty busy on the weekends. Would a ballpark village in Brookpark be the same, especially considering the anchor tenant in reality is barely there? Of course, a dome would allow them to try and attract the Final Four, etc... I guess we'll see.
  15. Oh yes, Ray's Place... Two of my favorite "Just Missed A Really Good Time" stories center around Ray's. First, my buddy was out one night and decided to leave Ray's to go to another bar. Minutes later Drew Carey walks in, has the manager shut the doors and everyone already in the bar drank for free on Carey the rest of the night. Second, I was at the Loft years later and the group I was with piece-meal decided to go down to Ray's. I was one of the last to leave, and there was a melee outside the bar's front door. I decided to leave when the cops rolled up, and minutes later two girls from the group who stuck around to witness the shenanigans come into Ray's and tells us that one of the guys in the fight got tasered by the cops. Damn it, I always wanted to see the Po-Po get all tasery.
  16. What I think the Haslams want is a dome in Brookpark surrounded by a ballpark village of sorts. I just question if there really is a demand for that out in Brookpark? You really think 20somethings are going to pass on going to downtown for... a TGIFridays in Brookpark? This should be interesting.
  17. It's funny you ask this, because after you shot down my Junior Colson love like some random girl at a Kent bar 20 years ago, I was going to ask you about this guy as a possible option.
  18. Makes sense... it has DTackle, OTackle, Linebacker and Wide Receiver as our top needs, and that tracks with what we all seem to be focusing on overall. Less than two weeks away!
  19. I would not hate those top three picks at all, gumby!
  20. Its funny, but we all miss having a first round pick when it comes to draft talk, and the general lack of draft talk the last three years kind of confirms this. But the few times we had the #1 overall pick kind of lacked a certain sex-appeal to when it was obvious who we were taking, like Myles. (But not the year we took Baker, that draft lead-up was bananas on here. Every day, calfox trying to outdo himself in being a whiny bitch. It was almost impressive. 😉)
  21. For eye candy, I like to watch Girl Meets Farm, a cooking show featuring Molly Yeh, who might be one of the most yummy girls I've ever seen.
  22. For Italian I like this guy on Youtube with the page "Sip and Feast". He's given me some good pointers for making Italian food, and his easy to follow style made me confident in trying new stuff, like braciole, and improved my chicken and eggplant Parm game.
  23. Lost the doubleheader opener to the Yankees 3-2.
