Keep an eye on K Ryan Santoso (Giants).

McLaughlin has more impressive stats & background than Santoso. In addition, the Giants want to trade him & I don't like trading for kickers. I'm not making those decisions (nor am I capable of doing so), so we'll just have to wait & see what happens.

after watching njoku moss every giants player in practice today i am sold on a contract extension......WHAT???

    1. he is young already his 5th year in the nfl and he is only 25.  his best years are going to be his next 5.

    2.  his drop issues seem to be gone.  he has some of the best hands on the team now. Based on WHAT??

    3.  He really stepped up in the playoffs last year as bakers go to target.....Playoff game=ONE catch for 7 yards, week 17 game= 2 catches for 13 yards......."GO TO"???

    4. i am convinced he will breakout this year if given enough targets signing him will save the browns some cash.  if they dont give him enough targets and they let him walk i am convinced he will be a star on another team.

Contract extension after 4 years of PFFFFFT??? He has a LOT to prove. Let's see what he does this season.

  4. You mentioned smashburgers. They have become my favorite, done on my cast iron griddle on the gas grill. Butter & toast buns (on griddle while heating to 400 degrees) Secrets are twofold...."meatballs 80-20" kept cold, then SMASHED thin (with my "Sasquash" from Amazon & parchment paper to prevent sticking) soon as placed on the 400 degree surface & then seasoned. Instant sear=flavor, then about 2 minutes cooking, flip, 1 minute more cooking, add cheese, close grill shortly to let cheese melt & serve. Because they're thin, all mine are served as doubles.

Seasoning I use is 7-2-2......7 T Diamond Crystal kosher salt (any other brand, cut to 4 T), 2 T GRANULATED garlic, & 2 Tfresh ground black pepper. This seasoning is also great for steaks & pork chops/cutlets.

Not going to be popular, but Haslams also deserve some credit. They made mistakes, but seemed to have learned from them.

Also probably not a coincidence that things turned when Dee got more involved.

And of course the constant in the FO thru the bad to the good is DePo.

This REALLY echoes my feelings! Every time the Haslams erred, they took it on the chin, swallowed their pride, headed in a different direction, & eventually struck gold. DePo is an important piece of that gold.

We'll see what happens as we move thru the years of retaining the talent we have amassed, but this Franchise is quickly establishing itself among the better ones in the NFL.

I watched this show the other night, only because it was highlighting the Browns. I thought it was done poorly, and didn't really cover as much as it should have. The one thing that struck me, was the interview with D'Qwell Jackson. I kind of liked him when he played here, but after this, he exposed himself as the loser that he really is. He stated.... not in these exact words, that he was proud to play in the NFL, but didn't really want anyone to know that he played for the Browns. Now, we've all had similar feelings at some point over the past 20+ seasons...even if we don't want to admit it. But...this is different. He's a professional football player....we're fans. I've struggled with the question many times..."How can we be sooo bad for sooo long?" It defies the law of averages. I know we've had bad coaches, bad owners and bad players, but you have to admit that there were some teams over those years that really should have done much better, with the talent they had. This D'Qwell Jackson thing answers that question....well, for me, anyway. Any player...whether rookie or veteran...coming to a new team, with that attitude has no chance to help turn the team around. The stigma that became tied to the Cleveland Browns, has determined the fate of the team since 1999. It probably wasn't that strong with the Tim Couch teams, because those teams showed some heart, but lacked talent. Once the losing set in, players like Jackson determined the fate of the team...at least subconsciously. I have to assume a lot of the players did not want to be here from their first day, and played like it. This explains away all the jinx theories, the curse theories, and the "NFL hates us" theories. We can all debate Baker Mayfield's talent and ability to turn this team around, but from what I've seen, I have to think he has not fallen into that mentality, and never will. Thank God for players like Mayfield and Jarvis Landry.

    AMEN to the boldfaced sentences!

Here are some Post Draft Survey Questions.     Give your answers or opinions:

    1.   The Browns now have  Elliot/Billings/Malik Jackson/Marvin Wilso/Square/Togiai/McDowell and  Day  at  DT.    Do they really have room to bring back Sheldon Richardson?  How many of these guys stick?......They will MAKE room if he wants to return.

    2. Which of the following  QB/WR/RB  reunions will work best in the pros:    Burrows/Chase  LSU;   Tua/Waddell   Alabama;   Hurt/Smith  Alabama;  Lawrence/Etienne  Clemson...Burrows/Chase  LSU

    3.  Tim Tebow is going to try out at Tight End  for his old coach Urban Meyer and the Jags.    Will it work?...I don't think so

    4. Both Brett Favre and Terry Bradshaw have less than complimentary things to say about Aaron Rodgers  and his desire to get out of Green Bay:   "Too Sensitive"  "Weak" "Melodramatic etc.   Are they right?....I don't give a damn! He's not our headache.

    5. Speaking of Rodgers,   would he be worth making this trade for him, which I heard proposed:   To Miami for their  2 first round picks in 2022,  their two first round picks in 2023, and Tua......Again, I don't give a damn!

    6.  The following, Page Spiranac  is one of the top  Golfers on the LPGA Tour.   Are you terribly concerned  about what he handicap may be?...WHAT handicap?..maybe her racist white Iphone.

    and who drafts him?

    BROWNS !!!!!!!!

I believe he said the Browns were his 1st interview. I don't know how soon & how much they will utilize him, but his presence & speed will really open things up underneath.

Interesting Mike!    Lindy's Draft Guide rates him as the #1 OLB.  Athlon's Draft Mag rates him as their #2 OLB; and that's only because they're projecting Micah Parson's as an OLB (with their #1 rating).  In Athlon's Top 100 prospects, he's listed at #11 overall. Lindy's field media top 100 - he's #18 overall.

Looking at those films and a lot of what I've read and heard from his biggest fan Daniel Jeremiah - his skills will be ideal for the NFL today.

The scariest thing about him is going to be watching people try to say his name at/after the tailgates.  I think I'll stick with JOK.

Yeah, I'll stick with JOK too. He'll be fun to watch for sure!

Had to work tonight and didn’t see any commentary. Any reason for him dropping that far? I figured he’d go in the first for sure

A friend went up Thursday night & said most of what he heard was that teams didn't know how to use him. If true, I think they'll regret passing him by. Great for us though.
