  1. Nice try Ghoolie, but he was actually just outside our local Costco charging his Tesla.
  2. When it comes down to it, do you put the game in the hands of your strongest assets, or the weakest? Stefanski outsmarted himself.
  3. Took long enough...better late than never I guess. https://www.cleveland.com/sports/2023/08/browns-release-former-third-round-pick-as-part-of-initial-round-of-roster-cuts.html
  4. What about looking at the kicks York makes that wobble all over the place, look terrible and just squeeze inside a goal post?
  5. As has been mentioned before, his kicks look terrible even when he makes them. I see no logical justification for placing our faith in his ability. If we were a team that's building to win in the future, maybe, but we have a fairly small window to get this done.
  6. Glad we didn't end up going to this game...what a disappointment....
  7. Yup! I think we all said that immediately after that loss.
  8. ...and then we'll say that we didn't start the fire, it was always burning since the world's been turning.
  9. Exactly. I don't know how we chose FatBoy as head coach over Williams. Oh wait, I know how...we let a child run the team.
  10. I'm crazy thinking of taking my teenage boys to this game (It's on the way to visit in-laws in London, Ontario). Looking at the brutal, sub-arctic weather on Saturday with 50mph wind gusts and trying to figure out the best chances of not dying at the game. Are club level seats any better than 100's sections? Any seating with outdoor heaters? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
  11. Each year during preseason, we see players who ball on the field and play lights out like Josh Dobbs, John Kelly, Wims, and Bradley. These players almost always get waived in favor of "established" players like Schwartz and Brissett, who basically have done and shown nothing. What the hell more do coaches have to see? Why don't they believe their own damn eyes?? Jeez.
  12. Well, he was effectively suspended for 1 season + 6 games. Hopefully Goodell accepts it and moves on...
  13. Did he ever really? I mean really???
  14. Settling is just an agreement that both sides like better than going to trial. There are so many considerations that go into settling, that you can't look at it as simple right vs wrong. Maybe Deshaun would pay more in legal fees to prove he did nothing wrong than he would pay in settlement. Maybe DW doesn't want this to drag out for years, because he wants to have a life. You could also equally say the plaintiff is settling because they know they have no case and are afraid of losing; otherwise they would go to trial and aim for the really big money. Also, these are civil cases, not criminal, so there is no risk of being a registered sex offender.
  15. Maybe for kids it's about looking up to an NFL player. For adults, it's the underlying moral theme that seeps into our psyche.
  16. Exactly. But it's not just kids who are impacted by what they experience and how they process it. We all have to resolve the tensions with us. But many don't understand this and even worse, insist on denying what they don't understand.
  17. On the 1st of April no less! 🤣
  18. Unquestionably A. But please don't use the term conviction. That confuses people into thinking there was a high standard to meet. The correct term is indictment. The Grand Jury indictment is THE EASIEST standard to meet of ALL legal proceedings. As someone eloquently put it, "you can indict a ham sandwich." The fact that a grand jury said their 12 strongest cases were baseless, speaks volumes.
  19. Here's a quote right from horse's A$$ : “… I put up 10 billboards up around Houston asking my neighbor Mr. McNair [former Texans owner Bob McNair] to draft the greatest college football player ever,” Buzbee wrote in the caption. “Obviously, it didn’t happen.”
  20. Minor correction. That document is Watson's answer in one of the civil filings, not the grand jury.
  21. Yes, that was the entire point of my original post. Just how biased in favor of getting an indictment the whole process is. I was just confirming with Unsympathetic that his experience was consistent with that and that the prosecutor didn't say something like although these "victims" claim this assault, we also have this account where this "victim" said to a family member "I'm going to frame Deshaun." The prosecutor would be required to disclose such exculpatory evidence to the defendant in the actual criminal proceeding.
  22. Mostly he's trying to get himself paid. He could potentially get around ten times what each plaintiff receives. He can of course encourage any of the plaintiffs to file a criminal complaint; which he probably has.
  23. Buzbee isn't directly involved in the criminal process.
  24. Interesting. Being a lawyer, I will never be selected on a jury, grand or otherwise. Was that in the same Texas county? Did the prosecutor present any exculpatory evidence? Or just the evidence that they believe shows guilt?
