Hopefully he will still be starting for the Browns. The Browns front office just did a crappy job trying to get somebody they knew didn't want to be here. Don't know why you picked the Lions, maybe you're just stupid but...

Atlanta is another team that has been actively courting Watson. The difference is, Matt Ryan has wisely remained silent throughout the whole thing and hasn't been writing "poor me" letters on social media like Baker has.

At the end of the day, football is a business. Watson is a far more talented QB than Baker and the Browns were smart to pursue him. Baker can be butt-hurt all he wants to be, but the Browns hold all the cards on whether they want to trade him or not. I'm not mad at all for the Browns trying to improve the team and make a winner.

Biden should not have closed the Air Base in Afghanistan until after the complete withdrawal of people and equipment.  He should have started arming Ukraine months ago.  The complete Afghanistan withdrawal disaster that was on Biden (not listening to his Generals and intelligence agencies) gave Putin the go ahead to invade Ukraine.  It showed him what a weak, demented POS Biden/Harris team are.

I mean, Trump did withhold $400m in military aid from Ukraine in 2019, so I'd say this is a multi-administration failure on the Ukraine question.

"As the blanket fell away, police saw a gun in Locke's hand and claim he was pointing it at an officer.

Three gunshots go off, two hitting Locke in the chest and one on his right wrist, according to an incident report."

How many cops have been killed in the line of duty here lately?

The body cam video doesn't show that the gun was ever pointed at the officers. It was pointed at the ground. Simply having a gun is not a justification to kill someone. We have the right to keep and bear arms in this country.

I go from sleep to wide awake almost instantly... Maybe faster if the police were screaming police!!! Get ON THE FLOOR!!  Not a fan of "No Knock" entries except in extreme cases but I'm at very slight risk of that happening at my house. 9 seconds is an eternity under those circumstances.

And yes, I have loaded firearms at the ready in my home. But aiming one at overwhelming numbers of LEO officers just isn't an option I would choose.

Except Amir Locke didn't point the gun at anyone. It was aimed at the floor the whole time. His finger wasn't even on the trigger.

Dumb ass shouldn't have a loaded gun with him on t he couch and he would be alive.

Do you have loaded guns in your house? Do you keep a loaded gun in a nightstand in your bedroom or somewhere within arm's reach while you sleep? If so, then I guess the police are free and clear to unload on you in your bed if they come into your house then

I don't know enough about the circumstances. In general I think I would probably agree with the cop.

If he pulled out a gun then the shooting was justified.  And you don't need a concealed carry on your property.

A gun in his hand makes the shooting completely justified.

The elapsed time from when SWAT breaks into the house until they shoot Amir Locke was 9 seconds. Locke was woken up from sleep in the middle of the night by armed men yelling and screaming at him while pointing guns at him. Locke was legally allowed to possess a firearm; body-cam footage shows that he was using proper discipline by not having his finger on the trigger and he didn't even point the gun at any of the officers. Even the no-knock warrant didn't list Locke as a suspect or POI. There was no justification for the police to shoot him, but they killed him anyway.

Police handled this situation about as poorly as possible, and they should be held civilly liable for his death at the least, if not criminally.

  7. ...I'm going to be pissed either way. Either the Bengals win and put the Browns firmly into the basement of the AFC North for the foreseeable future, or the Rams will win and OBJ will get a ring.

Short of seeing the Ravens or Steelers in the Superbowl, this pretty much is is the worst matchup possible.

Baker Mayfield, Kevin Stefanski and Andrew Berry should be ashamed of themselves.

  8. I would've respected Baker alot more this year if he shut it down for the year after 1-2 games after he got hurt, at the most? Would we still have sucked with Keeum playing instead of Baker? Maybe, maybe not. But by Baker being stubborn and playing while he's obviously hurt bad, he cost us several games. If he would've shut it down and had surgery earlier, he'd be well on the road to recovery and had ample time to prepare for the '22 season and nobody would really have much to burn him for. All he accomplished by being stubborn and playing through the injury was that he got himself hurt worse and hurt his team.

I said it before and ill say it again- Joe Burrow is the easiest QB eval I've done since Andrew Luck.

Hurts to see him in Cincy and not CLE - where the bastion of Buckeye support is.

If Baker doesn't ball out next year, he's done. Browns were better in almost every position and coaching than the Bengals this year except QB [edit: and WR] and the Bengals are in the Super Bowl while Browns nation is sitting here talking about "what if".

Depending on how the coach situation pans out, if the Browns could swap Carr for Mayfield + a pick I'd do that in a heartbeat. I think Carr is everything this offense wants and needs and quietly has clutch in his career. If I'm Berry and that's an option, it's a no brainer for me.

If I could swap out my Honda for a Ferrari it'd be a no brainer for me as well, but unfortunately for Berry and myself, reality has a pesky way of snuffing out pipe-dreams.
