Would love to see examples of what was considered "prohibited"

The official announcement doesn't give any examples either.

Seems like state sponsored book banning. Unlike the other book banning conservatives are already doing.

Let me say, as someone who did, it was a blast.

The "highlight" of the 1999-2014 run actually was what brought TexAg to us - the drafting of one John "Billy" Manziel. I've never been more proud of my team than that night. 😁

Didn't that moment get you kicked out of a bar and nearly arrested tia?

I remember when I heard the news that we blew a 1st round draft pick on Brandon Weeden, I kicked a hole into the warehouse door at the company I was working at back then.

That one holds a special place in my "being pissed off at the Browns" Hall of Fame

    Are Tomatoes A Berries? - Updating 2022

Tomatoes, peppers, cranberries, eggplants and kiwis come from a flower with one ovary, and so are also berries, she said. Other plants, such as the strawberry

The Real Reason Tomatoes Are Berries - Foodiosity

Tomatoes are berries due to their structure: they come in three layers, with the seeds growing in the innermost layer. All berries have very small, seeds surrounded by a thick pulp. And all berries come from a single flower ovary, and are a single fruit. Other examples include blueberry, banana, grapes, gooseberries.

This is actually the first year I'll be growing vegetables in the back yard; I'll be mostly container growing since the yard is on the smaller side. So far I got Red Pontiac potatoes, Marglobe tomatoes, bell and habanero peppers going. I'm also looking into later season vegetables as well.

Also almost 70% of all rapes go unreported...should we name the college boys who got off from brutal rapes?

Depends on what you believe. Is it better, to paraphrase Benjamin Franklin, for 100 guilty persons to escape than for 1 innocent to suffer unjustly? Or should we go back to the old country style of justice where an individual is guilty until proven innocent?

Jim Brown went to prison. I don't exactly recall was he charged with assault and battery on women or misdemeanor vandalism?

    From Jim Brown wikipedia:

"In 1965, Brown was arrested in his hotel room for assault and battery against an 18-year-old named Brenda Ayres; he was later acquitted of those charges. A year later, he fought paternity allegations that he fathered Brenda Ayres' child.

In 1968, Brown was charged with assault with intent to commit murder after model Eva Bohn-Chin was found beneath the balcony of Brown's second-floor apartment. The charges were later dismissed after Bohn-Chin refused to cooperate with the prosecutor's office. Brown was also ordered to pay a $300 fine for striking a deputy sheriff involved in the investigation during the incident. In Brown's autobiography, he stated that Bohn-Chin was angry and jealous over an affair he had been having with Gloria Steinem, and this argument is what led to the "misunderstanding with the police".

In 1970, Brown was found not guilty of assault and battery, the charges stemming from a road-rage incident that had occurred in 1969.

In 1975, Brown was convicted of misdemeanor battery for beating and choking his golfing partner, Frank Snow. He was sentenced to one day in jail, two years' probation, and a fine of $500.

In 1985, Brown was charged with raping a 33-year-old woman. The charges were later dismissed.

In 1986, Brown was arrested for assaulting his fiancée Debra Clark. Clark refused to press charges, though, and Brown was released.

Brown married his second wife Monique Brown in 1997; they have two children. In 1999, Brown was arrested and charged with making terroristic threats toward his wife. Later that year, he was found guilty of vandalism for smashing his wife's car with a shovel. He was sentenced to three years' probation, one year of domestic violence counseling, and 400 hours of community service or 40 hours on a work crew along with a $1,800 fine. Brown ignored the terms of his sentence and in 2000 was sentenced to six months in jail, which he began serving in 2002 after refusing the court-ordered counseling and community service. He was released after 3 months".

...At any rate if anybody can prove that all 22 of those chicks were lying I think they should be charged with crimes.

    Disagree?

    WSS

No disagreement here. But after high profile incidents like the Duke Lacrosse team, Columbia university mattress girl, Brian Banks, etc, where men's lives were ruined over false accusations by women, I'd be forgiven for being skeptical for not taking accusations of sexual assaults by women with no evidence at face value.

And, for the record, I believe that women who make false accusations of rape or sexual assaults should serve the same length of prison that the people they falsely accused would face.

Fair Point. So both are okay or neither is okay?

    WSS

Well, seeing as how one individual had two grand juries decline to advance his charges to trial due to lack of evidence, and another individual who readily admitted to beating women and served jail time for it, I'd say we're arguing apples to oranges here.

Yet I don't see many Browns fans burning Jim Brown jerseys or moving to different fandoms over the outrage of Jim Brown sending a broad off a balcony, so...

Browns fans need to get off their fucking crosses before the price of lumber gets even higher than it already is.

  7. As another person mentioned earlier in the thread, Jim Brown is considered to be the greatest Cleveland Browns player in the franchise's history, and probably one of it's most beloved players by Browns fans, many on here included.

He's also confirmed to be a giant fuckin' scumbag when it comes to women.

But sure, go ahead and give your Browns fandom up over someone who's had two grand juries decline to indict him due to lack of evidence and instead continue to idolize a confirmed woman beater and alleged rapist, who actually served jail time for the former charge.

Has anyone considered the theory that the only thing Baker needs to be a very successful QB is a first round wide receiver?

OBJ was a first round WR. Baker still looked like shit. He even had most of us believing that OBJ was the problem, even though he managed to win a Superbowl with a decent QB.

  9. Pro Football Network: What’s next for Baker Mayfield? Are the Seahawks an option?

"...Mayfield, for his part, is keeping busy. He’s in Texas right now working with Patrick Mahomes’ quarterback coach Jeff Christensen to improve his throwing mechanics and accuracy."

Funny, because Baker absolutely refused to work with a QB coach during the offseasons when he was a starter; even went on record in the recent past as saying he didn't need a QB tutor. It's only now that he's become a bench-warmer that no team wants as a starter that he's all of a sudden decided to get help. I'll be forever grateful that he was a participant in getting the Browns back to the playoffs, but seriously, this fucker's ego has made him delusional.

At this point, here's what we do with Baker:

I'm done with this fuckin' 🤡

  10. I saw this posted over on the Browns subreddit ( Link to OP post ) that I think is an excellent summation of Baker Mayfield and Browns fans:

"From a fan perspective, the Baker QB situation on the Browns is like your very first girlfriend...You'd never had a girlfriend (QB) before, so the first one that shows any promise you obsess over and think "Finally! This is the one I waited for!"

The more you get to know her, you realize you put up with strange behavior and she really doesn't seem to get along with some of your friends (OBJ). But again, it's whatever because you finally have a girlfriend! Maybe this is how it goes sometimes? They're wrong, you're right.

Then you realize that she doesn't get along with any of your friends (Browns teammates). You try and tell yourself they're just jealous, but then even your parents (Haslams, FO, Stefanski) say how much they dislike her.

You show a picture of her to kids on the bus and they say "gross, I'd date Matt Ryan, Marcus Mariota, or even Jameis Winston before I'd date her." You realize that this whole time, you had been sticking around in the hopes she got better and friendlier. Instead she got worse and meaner.

Your friends don't like her, your parents don't like her, other kids on the bus make fun of you, she's stubborn and refuses to listen to you, and you realize that outside of you, no one else even wants her. Because she showed you interest for the first time and you got laid ONCE. TWO YEARS AGO (2020 playoffs).

Suddenly the glasses are off and you realize you don't like her anymore. You have that epiphany/cringe moment (weeks, months, decades later) of "holy shit why did I stick around with her so long? She really wasnt that great at all. Of course no one else liked her, I was just blinded by my first love and wanted it to work so bad. Moving on was the right move"

  12. The histrionics by some of these Browns "fans" over the Watson signing is a head-scratcher to me.

This is America, where you are innocent until proven guilty. Watson was brought before a grand jury where his accusers testified in open court, and the grand jury did not find enough evidence to bring any charges against him. Zip. Zero. Nada. I hardly believe that the Browns FO and other team's FO's would have pursued Watson if any of those accusations had teeth.

And it's kind of interesting how all these accusations came out of the woodwork shortly after Watson demanded a trade from the Texans last year. Interesting timing.

Deshaun Watson fires back at 22 accusers with ‘money grab’ claim
