  1. I’m not sure if most of the people complaining about Baker have been fans long enough to remember actually watching some of the QB’s the Browns have trotted out there.... Baker on a three interception day, still looks 100% better than anything the Browns have put out there in about 15 years (and that’s included horseballs Derek Anderson’s year) I’m just glad the team can stop drafting QB’s in the 1st round for a while and keep building a good team. Baker does need to play better, and make much better decisions on when and where to take chances, but I’ve seen enough to let him start for the next 3-5 seasons without putting a significant investment in a replacement.

  2. Yes baker throw three int’s, yes Chubb fumbled.and there was sloppy play, but and here the but a lot of this stems from the refs and there unprecedented hatred of the browns. And as your reading this your say it’s not the refs, but have your ever really thought about the consequences of their call. One bad call that turns into two not only stops drives but it pisses the players off and yes this shouldn’t bother them but when it happens over and over agin shit adds up and soon it’s what’s on there mind instead of football leading to bad play. As in today’s game the blind side block call stalled there drive that is a fact. Weather they would have scored is anybody’s guess. And we do know that the Seahawks where pretty much gifted a 75 yard drive. And with that comes added plays for you d which makes them tired. But at this point the calls are no longer Subtle. Why iS no one looking into this, or atleast asking the league what the hells going on. This is like the 8th game the refs have had a profound impact on the browns game. It’s my opinion But it’s hard to sustain winning when your not playing with the same rules. I watch other teams and the stuff the browns get flagged for does not happen to other teams

  3. Wow. Absolutely nothing reminds me of Hue's team. Before Dorsey & Baker I NEVER thought we had a chance to win. From the opening whistle to game's end. 'Never'. It's a LOT different now.

  4. Freddie’s poor game managing is concerning me the most. Score: Browns 20-12. Browns second down inside the Seattle 10. 2nd Quarter: inside 2 minute warning WITH CLOCK RUNNING.. The situation is screaming to run the ball on second down, after wasting clock, and force Seattle to burn there last timeout. What did Baker do? Snap the ball with about 15 seconds on the play-clock and throw an INT. Giving the ball to Wilson in the 2 minute offense WITH 1 timeout still. They take advantage and make it a close 20-18 halftime score instead of 23-12. Should not be happening at the NFL level.

  5. The only thing more pathetic is a troll who likes to rag on another team after they've lost. To pump up their fragile ego. As others have said- it would be the easiest thing in the world for me to kick your arrogant abusive ass off of here. However- I won't- yet. Here's a little dose of reality for you. Two of your wins are against teams (the Bengals and Dolphins) who are a collective 0-11 on the year, and in serious competition for the #1 draft pick in 2020. There's your 2019 punchline teams. Really makes you proud too, huh? Haven't beaten a team with a winning record yet. FYI, and golly gee- I see a ton of those teams lined up in the next 10 games for you to get taken down a notch or two. And we'll be right here to give you endless shit when it happens. Aw, you get to play those same Seahawks on the road Sunday- where they're a lot tougher to beat. I'll let you crow if you win that one. Oh and the Patriots- lotsa luck there, plus the teams now in our rearview mirror- Rams and 49ers you have yet to play. My crystal ball predicts four losses right there.

  6. Glad to see "moral victories" still have a place on this board. Here I thought the Browns were supposed to be an AFC contender for the Super Bowl.

  7. How many of the interceptions were tipped into the defenders hands? Receiver with the kind of notoriety our receivers have should catch anything that touches their fingers. WSS

  8. Yes, we shoulda, coulda won today- but we're close guys. You can stop believing when we're 2-6. Bad opener against the Titans- but played the Rams and Seahawks close, and except for a few plays (usually the margin of winning and losing in the NFL) against the very good Rams and Seahawks- I say we're there, and totally capable of hanging with- if not beating any team in the NFL. . The 49ers and 'Hawks had long weeks to prepare. WE get the long week against the Patriots- don't think we can't beat 'em? The Giants (minus Saquon Barkley) had them on the ropes until they started turning the ball over. People bitching about the lousy secondary are forgetting Ward and Williams have missed weeks, and we've still been competitive. This year, we've been experts at shooting ourselves in the foot at the worst possible times. And FWIW, the Ravens won just about their last (for all intents and purposes) bye game beating up on the hapless Bungles. OK, they're up by two games, but they play the same Seahawks and Patriots next. It's not over yet folks. So welcome to the pain of being a competitive team- for a change. Or would you rather be in the Dolphins and Bengals shoes and start talking about the 2020 draft with 10 games left to play?

  9. Throwing stuff on the field is just Bush League; it makes the team, fans and city look bad. Did you see the guy who - apparently - threw something that bloodied the face of a security guard? What a total fat jack @ss. I hate when Browns fan does something embarrassing like this. Hate it.

  10. But where do you draw the line?? How many is it possible to overcome? At what point is the shit officiating simply too much to defeat? We could play a perfect game and it appears to me they would just make more shit calls to screw us. The calls yesterday weren't questionable, they weren’t a coin toss they were absolutely egregious calls that leave you wondering if they were intentional. Seriously picking just two the Landry TD with the nose of the ball on the goal line in a clear picture and the crackback block where the other player run into Jarvis leading with his shoulder and the penalty called on us were ridiculous. I think owners and coaches should band together , belly up to pay the fines and start to aggressively call out the bad calls until the NFL fixes the shit show their officiating has become. ALL calls should be watched and immediately overturned by league office in game when its so obvious a review shouldn't have even been necessary.

  11. Yea, but the mighty Rams lost 3 in a row and look weak, KC lost 2 in a row, at home. Dallas lost to the Jets....SF and NE look like the only King Kongs but you know they will lose soon (maybe not NE). The biggest problem is the franchise structure and stability, or lack thereof. When this team hits those shaky stretches, they don't know how to batten down the hatches and endure. Baker has thumbed his nose at all adversity in his life, so far. He assumed he could just do it again in the NFL - he beat the odds everywhere else, so why not? Combine the young, cocky kid at QB, a first-time ever head coach (never was so much a coordinator until now, on any level) and an owner who never seemed to learn about the value of stability, and, well, this is what you get. Is it correctable? I'm not sure. Can the team ever achieve success with this owner? Will Snyder ever win in DC? It's tough with an owner who messes so much up. If you constantly re-boot your computer, can you ever make progress?

  14. Depends. If it's 1st and 5, 2nd and short or maybe I'm sitting on a comfortable lead vs a suspect front - pull away. In the situation you're (most likely) referring to, and with our Oline - then yes, I tend to side with the announement in this case. If it's 3rd or 4th and short and I need it, but I know I'm handing the ball off... Then I'm throwing a lead in the backfield, running my best ISO and telling you to beat my line and my 225lb halfback coming downhill hat on hat. No chance at someone knifing under the pull and that getting blown up ala the Aaron Donald special. No chance at the pull being late or, in some, cases, not getting there at all.

Frankly none of us care about your troubles, but there is a specific subgroup of members who spend most of their time whining about how mistreated they are. You might seek them out. WSS

  18. Um, this nobody sure as hell thought there was a chance- in fact a very good chance to win. down 4, three minutes left and two TOs. Obviously- you're following the wrong team. I'd suggest you and Browns52 start rooting for the Patriots, 49ers and Saints. We beat the Jets and the Ravens- and if you think the Ravens are any better than the Browns at this point you're full of it. The the Ravens four wins are against teams that are a collective 4-15-1. They've yet to beat a team with a winning record. As I said- they still have to play any of the teams the Browns lost to. Care to bet me they're at 4-4 after they get clocked by the next two teams on their schedule- the same Seahawks and Patriots? If you think our major competition is a team that got two wins against the o-fer Bengals and Dolphins who are in the running for the #1 pick in the draft- think again. Personally- I'd be more worried about the Steelers suddenly showing some signs of life. Gosh- go out and play golf and stop the whining. We had the Seahawks on the ropes, ditto the Rams- all it's going to take is minimizing the mistakes. You want to bitch? Or forgot 0-16 already? Follow the crap Dolphins and Bengals then.

  21. I was over it around 5 minutes after the game ended... What is it about some Browns fans? We could win the freaking Super Bowl and these guys are going to be bellyaching "we could have beat them worse". Note my post in the Food thread.....

  23. I more than anyone believe the refs or nfl execs have it out for the browns, but dam fellas the negativity is bad. I can tell you this the boys played really well this week. The line is playing great and getting better every week. Chubb is a stud and hunt is on the way. Obj and baker looked a little bit more gelled and seals jones has played better the njoku. They are close very close. And the horrible calls didn’t help and are hard to overcome especially the ones that kept Seattle on the field. But look out when they play a clean game someone’s ass is getting whooped and I have a feeling it’s the pats. Cleveland 38 pats 17

  32. Not anywhere close to a 21 point win though, especially with only 17 points for Brady. That is what makes it lose all credibility. A close win? Well maybe on any given Sunday.

  34. Injuries to Greedy W & Denzel Ward to name a few are very frustrating. We replace LB Kirksey with Willie Harris and now he’s on IR. The bye week couldn’t come sooner! I also think we’ve played defense pretty ok considering I don’t like Kitchens & didn’t like the hire; Deja Vu all over again with questionable play calling, penalties and his negative post game pressers we finally assemble a competitive team and he seems clueless!!! I dare him to sit Rishard Higgins in favor of Callaway in week 8 .Mr Callaway is a bust so Freddie you’d better get with the program simplify the offense for your 2nd year QB, get help on Oline & run Chubb whose the best RB we’ve drafted in years memo to Kitchens: what hapoened to play action, and running the ball on 1st & goal Go Browns I expect them to win their next game after the bye week & I don’t care if TB 12 deflates, inflates, or sends out spies We should be able to win if we play our game mistake free with no letting up on Tb12 Sack the old guy

  37. That's as of today. They have 13 days to get healthy. If I had to guess, Baker got a hip pointer. And maybe we shouldn't be that hard on him for the last interception if he was hurting that badly.

  38. ....... I guess he had it coming because everyone knows that you can throw something out of the stands if the other team shows you up when beating you..... stupid security guy.

  39. He was! Daryl Ruiter this morning on 92.3 was talking about that mismanaged end of the half situation, and someone asked Freddie after the game why they seemed to be in a hurry to score instead of running out the clock as much as possible... "I was planning on scoring as fast as possible so we could get the ball BACK AGAIN AND SCORE AGAIN." is what Freddie answered with. The guy went full Retard with this. Who the fuck tries to score with less than 3 minutes in the half as fast as possible so they can give the ball back to possibly the hottest QB in the NFL this season with the idea that his defense will force a three and out and score again? What a buffoon.

  42. I know, I tell the kids I coach all the time that. You gotta control what you can control and move on to play your best play the next chance, can't dwell in the past, what's done is done. Don't let one loss become two... and so on and so forth... But literally every challenged play is SUPPOSED to go directly to NY and confirmed there. There should have been enough evidence there that it was a TD but they saw nothing? That's BS and very suspect, questionable at best.

  45. Even though I'm beyond frustrated, I don't want to blow it up. But Haslam isn't happy right now, and he probably feels like his team is good enough to make a run, but he's not totally sure if his COACH is good enough. This is all make believe stuff from my brain, but I'm guessing I'm right on. I just want to win man...and win at home. I HATE seeing our fans that dejected every game. I've seen enough of that shit to last me a lifetime.

  46. As I've been accustomed to saying, eff that line of thinking. Every egregiously bad call yesterday went against Cleveland, with two being huge momentum shifts in the game. I'm not a tin foil hat wearer but this line of thinking is B.S. and allows shitty referring to be accepted as "part of the game". You can't convince me for a second that refs in the NFL for whatever reason look for certain things against certain teams. When refs THROW THE FLAG on an otherwise huge play against the Seahawks just to pick it up (even though the call was proven to be correct), that's beyond "you have to play through bad calls". We've seen a ref get fired for their incompetence against our team, and it needs to continue. Landry was quoted yelling on the sideline "i'm so expletive tired of having to play against the refs each week, it's us against them". Imagine having to have that mentality as a player when you do everything right but the refs throw garbage flags. That shit gets to your head, and I can't blame the guys for feeling that way. Baker is going to get fined for what he said, and I don't blame him either.

  47. His accuracy this season has not been great. He's been high a lot. And lately also a little behind the receiver. But his numbers today are a kind of microcosm of the season. 22 or 37. He's credited with 3 INTs...when really, 2 receivers run into one another, and Hilliard has one go right through his hands...and last week Callaway has a TD bounce off of him to a defender. Baker's gotta be more accurate....but the receivers have to help a guy out by catching the ones that they can get their hands on without too much effort.

  48. See, now ... that's a reasonable answer. Why do we get these toothless inbred idiots from Cincitucky, Pennsylktucky and Baltiwhore in our division that we have to deal with? All the same ... I hope we kick your ass. Then we'll see you in the Super Bowl. And kick your ass again. Zombo
