I'm going to allow him a season in the position that he should have been in last season (strong safety) before I can honestly give a fair assessment of him. That being said, I was not a fan of using a first rounder on him.

I saw Peppers with my own 2 eyes on my large TV screen 4 times thursday night..That's 3 more times than I saw him on my screen all of last year..you do the math..Welcome to the camera angles Pep>>

You know what? I don't have any great faith in Gordon either. But to have the attitude, always been a f-up, will always be a f-up. is wrong. There's going to be around 20 guys (more like 50) on the Browns roster wasting spots with less innate ability than Gordon. That's a FACT, Jack. Spin it however you want to. It's the only reason Gordon is still here. He has rare, and I do mean rare God given talent. If he didn't he'd be selling cars at that dealership that gave him a chance the last time or something similar.

Why did G.Williams give Peppers the #22 Jersey?>>>>>"Here, wear this kid, in honor of the all 22 views, you'll need it"
  6. 1 point
Whoa! Slow down there partner. Peppers is a great talent and is a sure tackler. Remember, the kid still has never had a set position but I think they have him in the right place now, and he should be a solid starter at SS for years to come... Definitely no hurry to move on...

Orchard had a pretty bad game last week. He seriously needs to show off some pass rushing abilities, like quick, or he is on the way out. Guy can't make an open field tackle, and sets the edge pretty poorly. My guess is he is on his way out.

No one will take into account what I have to say on this topic... but ... I don't really see what he's talking about. I mean, that's one of the top TEs in the NFL, I'd say he did pretty well considering his lack of experience doing it. And Kindred was in covering TEs that werent nearly as good. Looks like commenters on that article disagree as well

Hey fellas, long time no post. This is one of those things I have said in the past that just is a pet peeve to me. "I wouldn't trade x pick for him, look at what we COULD get." True. Could get a great player, or could get Gilbert. Maybe not at 8, but it's not like Gilbert was going to be a low pick, he still would have been a 1st rounder. I did see him as a bust because of his skills, but that is beside the point. Mack IS PROVEN. As in Defensive Player of the year proven. I am not talking about the guys who are saying something about his salary, even though you get what you pay for, again DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR. I'm talking about people who cover picks more than proven. If Mack were in the past draft with his tape from NFL, it wouldn't have been a question on #1. But but but, the LT from Alabama COULD be good

The preseason games mean one thing, and one thing only: additional revenue for the owners.
  15. 1 point
Yup... Khalil is none of those "final pieces" a team adds to make a SB run... and that ain't us... not yet.

The original question "does preseason mean anything" hell yes it does......if you put it in the right context. For the newbie players trying to make a team anywhere the ramifications of making it or joining the regular working world can be HUGE. For the oldies they are trying to just hang on to the best paying job they'll ever have.....injuries or not. For the fans who the hell knows, many are just nuts....just look around you. For the teams or coaches now more than ever a big eh on records, it's about filling spots. W/L again eh? Now for the facts, just going STRAIGHT UP not the spreads here are the facts, just look....... Outcomes of preseason games rarely have anything to do with the talent on the respective teams, since the majority of the games are played by second-, third- and fourth-stringers. Some coaches care about winning preseason games, while others do not. Thus, betting on coaches with great preseason records is an easy way to make money. Here are recent preseason records for every coach in the NFL. Keep in mind that these records are STRAIGHT UP; not against the spread. The reason for this is because most preseason spreads are close to three, meaning the winner usually covers. When or if they actually put it all together, they're gonna look pretty damn good. We'll find out in a few weeks how long it takes

I didn’t comment on it relevant to the W or L. I commented specific to how we performed in the 1st half starters vs. starters. The performance is relevant to assessing progress.

If hue was not a QB whispering idiot, it's the perfect time at practice to get Baker a few more reps with the 1's..but here comes Gordon practicing Saturday..I'll be watching the practice tweets (yawn,,,,what a life of a browns fan )

He's a great story, but he's no secret weapon. If we can't put him on our practice squad because someone added him to their 53 I'd actually be happy for him. Z

By the way, I'm not getting the "fanboy" vibe that I got with Quinn and Maziel. I think fans generally respect Taylor, and they generally expect Mayfield to take over when the time is right. The Browns seem to be handling things correctly for a change ... starts with non-nonsense Dorsey at the top. Zombo

Let me explain something to you, snapper head. 1) Parody is not meant to be taken seriously. 2) I know Steve and his talent very well. I played guitar behind him up on the lake. 3) I am eagerly awaiting him to send a track he plans to record so that I can put some accordion enhancement for him. Go back to smelling your wife's dildo. Don't discuss things you have no talent or expertise about......ah, if you did that, you would never speak. Judge Jackoff.
