Cleveland Browns are NFL playoff wild-card sleepers in 2018 https://search.app.goo.gl/MuXFL Shared from my Google feed

An older Browns fans with some connections to the team made the following post on the Michigan board I frequent. Mostly stuff we know, but I found it interesting. We are in a slow period... so... here ya go.

Just to clarify, if Callaway and Harris blow it, it's Darren's fault from now on. Your draft picks, your responsibility.

This is such a delightfully weird board sometimes...

I think having a real pro in Landry might help them too ....

So... Draft talk will start in October like last year, or will we be able to push it till November?

I think because of the fact that we do not have our minds wrapped around the concept of Randall back there because he was obtained in a trade. We get so focused on draft picks that we somewhat ignore, or have not much info on the FA players we get unless they are a big name or at a more visible position. But, you are right. Randall may be one of THE most important acquisitions of the Browns in the offseason...FA or draftee. We just have to have more exposure to his talents and capabilities to realize it.

It was discovered by the Asian land bridgers and possibly even some Pacific boat people. Columbus thought he found the East Indies. The extra continent was not in their world view of the time. We like to think we "discovered" it because "stole" it does not fit our world view.

As soon as we picked up Randall I knew we had solved the safety problem and had to concentrate on the CB problem. FA and draft have solved that in a reasonable way. The two quick DL we added allows us to do rotation in depth all along the line and frees Orchard to get back from the line in a LB spot where he belongs. I like all the things we have done to improve this team top to bottom both sides of the ball. It will take time to build a smoothly functioning unit, but key barring injuries like last year I see this team getting better every game this season. This is going to be a fun season to watch unwind. Should be a lot of room to analyze the intricacies of what each side of the ball is doing every week. Should make for a lot of interesting discussions all season long.

I wouldn't put it past CNN to purposely put fake poll numbers out to try and keep republican voters from voting.

And why not the country whence came the first discoverers of the continent you are in? SPAIN! And before you mention the Vikings, they FOUND America but didn't DISCOVER it. Think about the verb discover: dis-cover. They didn't know they had found another continent and the rest of the world didn't take notice till centuries later.

Callaway is going to be a really good football player. Compares to Antonio Brown. Gordon, Landry, Callaway and Coleman... that's a group with a lot to prove and a really big collective chip on their shoulders.

And now back on topic- sort of. Caught up on my backlog of pre draft stuff, and saw this on NBC as part of their top qb prospects. If the media portrays Baker as a flag plantin', crotch grabbin', drunk jerk- this sort of stuff never hits the air waves. Fortunately, it was on YouTube also. My opinion of him as a person went up about 1,000% after seeing this. Brought a tear to my eye.....

Here is today's survey....theme "The Best Not To": 1. Who is he best Browns player ever that is not in the HOF? (and whom you think deserves to be in) D-i-c-k Schafrath to me is #1. Clay Mathews is second 2. Who is the best Active QB to not have won a Super Bowl? Phillip Rivers I think. Debate on #2 between Matt Ryan...who should have had one, and Cam Newton. 3. Who is the best coach in history to have never won a Championship? There could almost be about a 5 or 6 way tie. But, I think for #1 I will go with Bud Grant. Bud deserved a title and never got one. Then there are Marv Levy and Dan Reeves....both like 4 time SB losers. Then go with Chuck Knox and Marty. So...Bud Grant. 4. What is the best team in history to have never really received recognition as a great dynasty...or who fell just short of dynasty status? Those Buffalo Bills under Levy seem an obvious choice. So, why not. They were dynastic, but not a dynasty, because I do believe you have to win to be considered a dynasty. Another teamis the LA Rams from the 1970s. They won like 7 straight division titles but could never quite break through to the Super Bowl. And, of course, another is those Purple People Eaters under Grant. 4 time SB losers (just not all consecutive like the Bills) 5. A. What is the one or two best "tourist attractions"....in the USA that you have not been to but want to go. Believe it or not, this question was spurred because I did just book myself to see one of those this morning: The Biltmore Mansion in Asheville NC. Others in the US would include The Columbia River Valley between Oregon and Washington...and the Pinnacles National Park in central California. Two others also come to mind: The Empire State Building and the Statue of Libert. I have seen them from the exterior, but have never had the chance to go into them. Let me correct that....I was scheduled to visit both of them...... The date I was scheduled? September 20, 2001. And you all know WTF happened to prevent me from doing so. After 9/11...they both shut down to visitors. I have not been back to NYC since to get a chance to go. B. Same question...except include the entire world. There are a lot: The Pyramids come first to mind. They are the only one of the 7 Ancient Wonders of the World to still exist. Stonehenge could either be cool...or totally underwhelming. Others: Loch Ness, Venice...and Nero is doing some convincing of me that Barcelona may be the place in Spain to visit. Doing the Great Barrier Reef could be cool. And doing an LOTR tour of New Zealand could be. Also, perhaps, the Kruger Wildlife preserve in South Africa.
